This is a feature packed device that combines a wearable phone, GPS locator, fitness tracker, and more. The main novelty however, is Doki’s partnership with Amazon Alexa which has birthed its newest feature, dokiAsk.
The world is an increasingly complicated place, and there is a lot to learn in a short time when you are a child. Research shows that mothers are quizzed most, and on subjects far and wide. In fact the 300 questions they get asked every day by their kids is more than primary school teachers, doctors or nurses. dokiAsk gives kids the ability to ask questions and get answers around the clock, with the artificial tutor taking some of the pressure off parents.
Designed for kids 6-12 years old, dokiWatch also provides a reliable way to make sure your little ones are safe. There are multiple communication options such as voice calls, voice messages and one-way text messages. Or you may prefer two-way video calling, instead. The watch comes with a built-in 2 megapixel camera and 1.22” TFT touch-screen that allow for this. Kids can also add their own friends and start calling and messaging each other.
Parents will be happy to know there is a Smart Locator function, which tracks your child’s location using a combination of GPS, GSM and WiFi technology. This allows you to set an alert area and receive notifications when your child leaves the preset location. If your kiddo feels in danger, at the press of a button he or she can send immediate SOS alerts to preset contacts. This will trigger a live audio recording of their surroundings and continuous tracking of their GPS location.
As mentioned, there are some fitness tracking functions, too. The built-in accelerometer tracks steps, distance and calories burned. A variety of fun activity goals encourage kids to stay active and healthy.

Other features include a scheduler function to set guidelines for their daily tasks and appointments, a virtual pet that lives in the smartwatch and a photo album for all those pics, selfies and memories. The watch offers some customization options as well, such as setting selfies as wallpapers.
Not all kids are ready for a smartphone and dokiWatch seems like a pretty viable middle of the road solution. One negative, though, is the hefty $219 price tag. The watch comes in a blue and pink design, and can be purchased from doki.com.
