From the article: "A stylish design of Google Pixel Watch should be on the cards."

Not if the Google Pixel smartphones are any indication.

However, I am anticipating this launch. Samsung is the only non-Apple smartphone company to have any success, albeit very limited, in the smartwatch market, and they've gone with their own Tizen OS.

So, seeing what looks like a serious push in the market from Google, in terms of hardware, including the use of a new processor from Qualcomm, should be interesting. We'll see if they can push back against Samsung.

It will also be interesting to see if other manufacturers jump on this Wear OS/Qualcomm tag team. So far, their efforts have been dismal. But, if enough manufacturers see some success with Wear OS, along with Google itself, then it might change the game in smartwatches, but it's still a tall order entering this late into the market.
