Essential reading: Merging fashion with fitness, ten activity trackers for women
This is a global day to recognize the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It commemorates the movement for women’s rights and has been celebrated every year since the early 1900’s. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
For the second year in a row, the Cupertino outfit is running an activity challenge to mark the occasion. To earn the badge users will need to complete a 1 mile walk, run, or wheelchair workout on March 8th. This will unlock a special Activity achievement in the Activity app. Last year the task was to double the move ring.
The yet-to-be announced challenge will be available internationally. Users should start to see it appearing on their Watches soon.
Apple has issued a series of challenges over the years. This one starts exactly a month after the American Heart Month challenge, a federally designated event to educate on the importance of cardiovascular health. That challenge required users to close their watch’s green exercise ring for seven days in a row between February 8th and 14th – Valentine’s Day.
