The company has started transitioning all of its software to the new theme last November. Samsung says the new interface is more intuitive and allows you to get things done with fewer finger movements. Plus there’s a great looking dark mode which helps extend battery life on OLED displays.

The last update to the Galaxy Wearable app was released a month ago. It leaked upcoming wearables including the Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Fit/Fit e and Galaxy buds, ahead of their official launch. This new refresh comes with the One UI design.

You can check out the new look on the screen-shots below. Samsung has added a dark mode to the app, though there’s no way to change it to a lighter theme.

Apart from the design change, the software does not seem to have any new functionality or other improvements. Unfortunately Samsung has not published a change-log so there’s no way to know for sure.

Opening the app should apply the new interface without a client-side intervention. Alternatively, you can grab the update from Galaxy Store on your Samsung smartphone or tablet. The upgraded app is yet to land on Google Play Store.
