the next apple watch activity challenge falls on earth day 184x300 - The next Apple Watch activity challenge falls on Earth Day Earth Day was first marked back in 1970 in the US. Since then it has spread to nearly 200 countries around the world. The annual event was founded to protest the negative impacts of industrial development. This year, the focus will be on protecting the millions of species on our planet.

Just like last year, the 2019 challenge was discovered by Kyle Seth Gray and first reported on 9to5Mac. Completing the 30 minute task will unlock a bunch of eco-friendly animated stickers.

The third challenge of 2019 comes hot on the heels of the International Women’s Day challenge. This one required users to complete a 1 mile walk, run, or wheelchair workout on March 8th. The only other challenge this year was for American Heart Month, a federally designated event to educate on the importance of cardiovascular health.

While some of Apple’s challenges are limited to certain countries, the yet-to-be announced 2019 Earth Day challenge will be available globally.
