Samsung has released the first Tizen update for its newly launched Galaxy Watch Active.

The software weighs a mere 13.83MB and focuses on improving the battery charging algorithm and adding stability. This bumps the firmware iteration to R500XXU1BSD3/R500OXA1BSD3. The update will run on the same Tizen version of the operating system.

Galaxy Watch Active was launched about two months ago and has so far received great reviews. It is a sportier take on Galaxy Watch.

The device is very light, it sports a beautiful AMOLED touchscreen and – thanks to a built-in heart rate sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope – comes with everything you need to track your fitness 24/7. Around the clock stress tracking is on this list and, more interestingly, so is blood pressure monitoring.

Own a Galaxy Watch Active? The update is currently only available in the US but rollout to other countries should follow soon. To check which version you are on and install the update, launch the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone and click on the Download updates manually option. This can be found by going to About Watch and tapping on the Settings tab.
