Polar has unveiled a new iteration of the Vantage V. This one has a titanium case making it one of the lightest multi-sport watches on the market.

The new material gives Vantage V Titanium a premium look and feel. The watch has a black PVD coating on the top edge and comes with a two-color wristband. Plus it’s 7 grams lighter than before coming in at only 59 grams.
The changes are entirely cosmetic and so don’t look for any software or internal differences from the regular edition (view technical specs). Related late last year, The Vantage V comes with advanced performance metrics and smart coaching, so is geared towards the serious fitness enthusiast. Polar says the watch is the most advanced in its history.
Last week, the company also issued new firmware and a roadmap for the Vantage series. The update brings a new activity tracking algorithm and various GPS enhancements. Update 4.0 is scheduled for October and will include Fitness Test, Zone Lock and more. Version 5.0 will land at the end of the year. It will come with Strava Live Segments support and Race Pace.
