Mark this date in your calendar – Friday the 29th of November. The big day falls slightly later this year although as always its the day after Thanksgiving.
Sales will not just happen on that weekend and Cyber Monday. To keep ahead of competition, many retailers including Garmin, will slash prices on a range of items from early November. Some deals can already be found.
Plus there’s the Amazon “Kick-off countdown to Black Friday” deals which falls in mid November. This offers Amazon Prime members early access to Lightning deals. It pays to have a Prime membership (register here) around holiday time. Take advantage of the savings and then after the free trial month is up decide whether you want to keep the membership.
Garmin Black Friday 2019
While some wearable manufacturers have been struggling, Garmin has been going from strength to strength. Its success lies in the quality and wide range of fitness and sports gear. The company has grown quite a bit since it was established in the not too distant 1989. Its first product was a GPS unit which sold for $2,500. Thankfully, prices have come down quite a bit since then!
The company’s wearables strategy is centered on purpose-built devices for consumers who want to measure and enhance their active lifestyle pursuits, whether it’s running, cycling, swimming, golfing, walking, or simply being more active. This year we saw a plethora of new devices. This includes the Vivoactive 4, Forerunner 45, Forerunner 245, Forerunner 945, Vivomove 3, Fenix 6 and more.
For the average person who does the occasional run, cycle or swim, the new Vivoactive 4 is probably the best choice. It comes with pretty much everything they will need to track their activity, including built-in storage for music and other smart functionality. But if you’re after something more discreet and in the form of a fitness band, our suggestion would be to opt for the Vivosport or Vivosmart 4. In additional to the usual smarts, the first has a built-in GPS, the second a Pulse Ox sensor.
As far as sports watches go, whether you’re into snorkeling, skiing, triathlon running, Garmin has a device for you. We’ve yet to see significant discounts on sports watches introduced this year but big savings can already be had on older devices. You can check out the list on this link.
