On Thursday, November 28rd, you can win a sticker and turkey-shaped badge. You will need to walk, run, or wheelchair 5 kilometers on Thanksgiving Day (wheelchair workouts also count), and record this using Apple’s Workout app or any third-party app that adds workouts with the HealthKit database. The challenge was first spotted by Kyle Seth Gray, who posted about his discovery on Twitter (via Macrumours).

apple brings back the thanksgiving apple watch badge 1 - After two years, the turkey trot Apple Watch challenge is backAs Thanksgiving is a US holiday, its not surprising that this challenge is only available to those in the country. Users should start getting notified about the challenge as the holiday nears.

The 2019 Thanksgiving Activity badge and iMessage sticker is almost identical to the one awarded in 2017. The only difference is that the medals and stickers now have a purple hue instead of a blue one.

The sixth challenge of the year is part of Apple’s initiative to encourage health and fitness activity among users during the leisurely holiday season. It comes about three months after the previous one that marked the Grand Canyon National Park’s 100 year anniversary. That one required users will need to do a walk, run, hike or wheelchair workout of at least three miles.

Will you be running or walking 5K on Thanksgiving to get the special Activity achievement?
