In reply to Markus. I get this problem when I plug the watch into a running computer's USB port. It goes away when I connect the watch to the same USB port when the computer is off, or to a USB charger.

In reply to Jon. My garmin connect app does not have the reading of my heart rate date through the day. I am having this trouble for about a week now. I did all the troubleshooting already.

In reply to Will C. Fixed it by activating the ‘Broadcast Heart Rate’ setting in the HR widget. I did this for about a minute then turned it back to Off. My heart rate tracking is now working again

I have a related problem: my Garmin Fenix 6s is measuring heart rate OK, and for activities it stores them and I can look at the data both on my watch and in the app. However, the continous HR tracking is not being stored since a couple of weeks back. So for instance, I have get no HR rest data, nor can I see how the HR has varied during the day.

Is there a setting where I can turn on/off continuous HR montoring and how that data is stored?

I had this issue the first time I plugged my forerunner 55 into a new PC to charge it. It fixed automatically when I downloaded Garmin Express on the PC and added my watch
