Fitbits see prices slashed across the board

Amazon is currently running great deals on Fitbit Sense, Charge 5, Versa 3 and Luxe for Cyber Monday. You can also pick up savings on a few other Fitbits.

This year Black Friday fell on November 26th so a bit later than usual. This is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States.

Black Friday kicks off a weekend of deals that concludes on November 30th, Cyber Monday. Savings should continue, however, throughout December as this is a very busy time of the year. Lots of people are doing shopping, purchasing gifts for others or treating themselves. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are not just in the US. Savings can be had in many countries.

Amazon is jump starting the sales bonanza with some great deals right now on a few Fitbits. You might want to take advantage of this to beat the rush at the end of the month and in December.

Fitbit is one of the best known players in the wearables space. Sure there are other, cheaper brand names, but it is still the well recognised names which dominate sales. This is for a reason. Hardware can typically be easier to emulate than software. But it is companies such as Fitbit, Garmin, Samsung and Apple that still offer the better overall package – so hardware and software.

Fitbit has released in 2020 Sense, Versa 3 and Inspire 2. In 2021 we saw Ace 3 for kids along with the Fitbit Luxe and Fitbit Charge 5. The last one on this list is our recommendation for someone looking for a fitness band. The Versa range or Sense is the way to go if you’re after a smartwatch.

Fitbit Sense

This is the one to go for if you want absolutely everything Fitbit has an offer. It looks like Versa 3 but comes in a more premium design. If you’re wondering if you’ll miss out on some functionality if you buy Sense instead of Versa, don’t worry. Because you won’t. But you will get some extras.

The first worth mentioning is ECG. Taking a leaf out of Apple’s book, there’s finally a Fitbit that can take your electrodiagram. This is done by placing your fingers on the corners of the case.

The second big upgrade is 24/7 stress tracking. This takes into consideration readings from an an electrodermal activity (EDA) sensor, as well as resting heart rate, HRV, temperature and more.

There is plenty more of offer including built-in GPS, SpO2 and other fitness and health sensors. Finally users will benefit from some smart functionality such as Google Assistant & Alexa, along with access to various music streaming services.

The Fitbit Charge 5 is one of the best fitness bands for the average person. It comes with a large AMOLED display, water-proofing, excellent 7 day battery life and a great software eco-system.

You’ll find everything you need for 24/7 activity monitoring including some advanced health tracking functionality such as ECG and EDA for stress. Think of it as Sense, but in the form of an activity band. Plus, there’s built-in GPS for tracking exercise outdoors without a smartphone. There are only a handful of activity bands with built-in GPS and Charge 5 is one of them.

Outside of fitness, the Charge range comes with some smart features. These have progressed so much that they are starting to blend the line between fitness tracker and smartwatch.

For the first time, Amazon is currently running a sale on the latest Fitbit device. You can check it out on the link below.

Garmin Venu SQ vs Fitbit Versa 3: which should you opt for?

When it comes to features, devices in the Versa range put fitness first. They come with everything you’d expect from a Fitbit, along with capturing real-time stats on 20 different types of activities including swimming.

If you don’t need built-in GPS Versa 2 is a great option. If you do need it then Versa 3 is the obvious choice.A

All things considered, Versa is a great smartwatch. It is simple to use and comes with most things the average person would want from a fitness device.

Luxe represents a nice upgrade over the Inspire range not just in looks but also in functionality. What many consider to be the most attractive Fitbit to date packs all the basic fitness tracking goodies along with 24/7 stress management and blood oxygen levels. You can view all of this on the gorgeous AMOLED touchscreen display.

Luxe is rated 5 ATM as far as water-resistance and it will run for about 5 days on a single charge. There’s no built-in GPS but you do get Connected GPS.

If you’re after a slimmer, more discreet experience than the rest of Fitbit’s range Luxe is the obvious choice. It packs an impressive set of features at a reasonable price.

Launched in August 2020, Inspire 2 is another device for those that want something discreet on their wrist. The device is thin and lightweight and adopts a buttonless design so you navigate the device by tapping the screen, swiping up and down.

The standard gamut of fitness tracking sensors is there, including heart rate but no built-in GPS. You will need to rely on your smartphone’s satellite signal for that. Some more advanced features include Active Zone Minutes, Cardio Fitness Level, Heart Rate Zones, Sleep Stages, Menstrual Health Tracking, Guided Breathing Sessions and more. Battery life is around 10 days, which is double offered by its predecessor.

If you are looking for an easy and low cost way to enter the fitness tracker world, Inspire 2 is a good choice. It covers the essentials without going overboard.

Fitbit Ace 3

For a long time Fitbit didn’t have a fitness tracker for kids – now it has three. The third generation is meant for those 6 and above. It is rugged so can take quite a beating and comes with proper water resistance and a large display.

In terms of activity, Ace 3 tracks all-day steps and active minutes, sleep, there’s a 1-hour active minutes goal (as per WHO recommendations), virtual badges and more. To keep your little one engaged, the tracker’s face includes animated clock faces that change through the day as they approach their daily activity goals. Ace 3 also offers motivating challenges to keep you kids active.

This is an iterative upgrade over the second generation. Improved battery life, a slightly better display, some more clock faces including animated ones are the main changes. Fitbit says there are also more accessory band options as compared to before.
