Amazfit Trade-in program lets you upgrade to GT 3 Series on the cheap

Zepp Health has opened a trade-in program that lets you upgrade your existing Amazfit watch to GTS 3, GTR 3 or GTR 3 Pro. Depending on your current smartwatch model you can get up to $55 in return.

If you’ve been eying the new Amazfit GT 3 Series but already have a watch, perhaps you felt the upgrade was not worth the hassle of selling your current device and purchasing a new one. But now that Zepp Health has made this easy, you might want to reconsider.

Amazfit Trade in program

The Trade-in program can be found on this page. It will run to December 11th which should give you enough time to assess your options.

If you decide to trade in your existing smartwatch, there’s a form you’ll need to fill in. The company will review your response and inform you of the value of your trade-in smartwatch within 3 business days.

The form consists of around 10 questions. You’ll also be asked to provide the watch model you want to trade in, state weather the watch is fully-functional, and free of any defects or damage. Finally, you’ll need to upload a picture of your watch.

Zepp Health is not discriminating between its smartwatch models so any Amazfit watch qualifies for the trade-in program. The better its condition to more you can expect as a refund on your new purchase. The maximum value you can hope to receive is $55.

After you receive the response, decide whether you will except the offer. The quoted value is valid for two weeks.

If the price is right, place your order for the new Amazfit GT 3 series on the company’s website. You’ll be asked to pay the full price on the new watch. It is important to note that the offer is not valid if you make a purchase on other retail outlets such as Amazon, for example.

Zepp Health will then refund the value of your existing watch, within 2-4 days after receiving it. You’ll get a shipping label from Amazfit that you can print off when sending your device. The only other thing is to make sure to delete any personal data from the watch and factory reset it before sending.

Up to $55 back on your existing watch might not seem like a lot. But that saving would be on top of any sale that the GT 3 series might be at up till December 11th. After all, it is the holiday period so there’s a chance the new watches will see some discounts. A sale, plus a refund on your existing watch might offer a significant saving on the new watch.

We’ve reviewed the Amazfit GTR 3 and found it to be a solid offering for those after an activity tracking device. There really is lots to like about the timepiece and the improvements over the previous generation are clear.

All the health and fitness basics are there, including a floor count and around the clock SpO2 tracking (so not just on-demand). The GPS is quicker to connect and more accurate than before. Heart rate monitoring with the BioTracker 3.0 engine also works well and there’s a nice selection of performance metrics on-board. Then, of course, there’s the new operating system. It contains something Zepp Health refers to as a Mini App Framework. It essentially allows third-party apps to run on the watch.
