Thanks for your comment. It has become my go-to HR chest strap for running over the past year, simply because it provides more insights vs the competition. Have not tried it in the pool, though.

I tested the Frontier X2 for almost 1 week, and I am really impressed by the quality of the ECG recordings. I do not say this lightly – I say this from a strong background in cardiology. My main criticism is the micro USB charging port – even with the supplied rubber plug I won’t take the X2 swimming. (A word of warning: chest straps fall off when swimming unless you wear them under a swimsuit/triathlon suit.)
The Frontier app is interesting but needs some more polish: After my 40 km bike tour the app advised me to increase my running cadence. Otherwise it provides me with interesting insights.
