You miss the point completely. It's not the material causing the rash, but the RF signals.

You're right, l wouldn't have believed it myself if l hadn't of actually experienced it, bluetooth off and my wrist is no longer itchy, how is this not being talked about? How are people not making the correlation? It's disgusting that this is glossed over. I actually had this problem with bluetooth airpods also, itchy blisters along my jawline on both sides from prolonged use during the day, so l should have known better. I didn't want to believe it. Some of these gadgets are actually harmful. Well, they were to me.

I use to have a rash from my Fitbit versa under where the band touched my skin it was a huge blister. I have eczema and it is mild I switched to the Apple Watch and used fabric bands made out of cotton, silk, or jersey materials and it worked really well my rash cleared up. I also found out that washing your Watch bands with hypoallergenic cleansers like cetaphil really helps prevent rashes. I now only wear the silicone bands for short periods of time to prevent my eczema from flaring up. Nylon bands you should only wear if it is hot out or your working out don’t wear them to sleep they can be irritating to your skin if you have eczema or sensitive skin.

I have been researching on this topic for a very long time & I think John brings up a valid point. I have recently found out that I'm allergic to nickel & gold. This being said it hasn't explained why my reaction is only under the spot where the sensor sits on my arm. Sadly I think after reading his post I realize I will never be able to wear a smart watch. =(

My daughter has a visible burn from it. I figured it had to be the HR lasers but this could be the Bluetooth. Thx for the tip.

I have a fitness watch with a silicone watch band and I get rashes on the side of my wrist and no where else and it itches like crazy. I just ordered a leather band for to see if there is a difference. I wore leather band watches for many years and never developed a rash on my wrist. Maybe companies need to start using different bands instead of silicone.
