Fitbit sale on Amazon: Save big on Versa 4, Charge 5, & more

Amazon is currently offering great deals on a variety of Fitbit wearables. The Sense 2, Versa 4, Charge 5, Luxe and a few older models are included. Some of these deals are at their lowest prices in a long time, making this a great time for customers to purchase these items.

Fitbit, like Garmin, Samsung, and Apple, is a well-known player in the wearables market. These companies are distinguished from less expensive brands by providing a complete package of hardware and software.

The company has announced in late August Sense 2, Versa 4 and Inspire 3, which include evolutionary rather than revolutionary upgrades. Which makes the older models still attractive. Particularly as retailers are aggressively reducing the prices on those. So, if you don’t need the latest and greatest features, you might be able to save a few bucks by buying a predecessor generation device.

Fitbit Sense 2

This is the one to go for if you want pretty much everything Fitbit has an offer. It looks like Versa 4 but comes in a slightly more premium design. If you’re wondering if you’ll miss out on some functionality if you buy Sense instead of Versa, don’t worry. Because you won’t. But you will get some extras.

The first worth mentioning is ECG. Taking a leaf out of Apple’s book, there’s finally a Fitbit smartwatch that can take your electrodiagram. This is done by placing your fingers on the corners of the case. The only other Fitbit that has the ability to do this is Charge 5.

The second big upgrade is to do with 24/7 stress tracking. On Sense it also takes into consideration readings from an electrodermal activity (EDA) sensor, along with resting heart rate, HRV, temperature and more.

The main difference between Sense 2 and Sense is that the latest generation can untilize the EDA sensor around the clock. The original Sense takes these types of readings on-demand.

There is plenty more on offer including built-in GPS, SpO2 and other fitness and health sensors. Finally users will benefit from some smart functionality such as Google Assistant & Alexa, along with access to various music streaming services.

Fitbit Versa 4

Fitbit Versa or Versa Lite: should you favour affordability or more features?

Versa is the San Francisco wearables manufacturer’s other flagship smartwatch. The device comes with many of the sensors you’ll find on Sense, but it comes at a lower price.

In terms of fitness tracking there’s everything you’d expect from a Fitbit device, along with capturing real-time stats on a wealth different types of activities including swimming. Plus there’s built-in GPS.

As far as health tracking, you don’t get an EDA sensor for more detailed stress tracking or the ECG monitor. For these you’ll need to opt for Sense.

If you don’t need all the bells and whistles of Sense 2, this is a great option. Versa 3 is also worth considering. It pretty much comes with everything you’ll find on Versa 4, but as its not the latest edition you are more likely to find good discounts.

Fitbit Charge 5

The Fitbit Charge 5 is one of the best fitness bands for the average person. It comes with a large AMOLED display, water-proofing, excellent 7 day battery life and a great software eco-system.

You’ll find everything you need for 24/7 activity monitoring and more. This includes some advanced health tracking functionality such as ECG and EDA for stress. Think of it as Sense, but in the form of an activity band. Plus, there’s built-in GPS for tracking exercise outdoors without a smartphone. There are only a handful of activity bands with built-in GPS and Charge 5 is one of them.

Outside of fitness, the Charge range comes with some smart features. These have progressed so much that they are starting to blend the line between fitness tracker and smartwatch.

The device still represents a good buy. Particularly as we are not expecting its successor probably until the second half of 2023.

Luxe represents a nice upgrade over the Inspire range, not just in looks but also in functionality. What many consider to be the most attractive Fitbit to date packs all the basic fitness tracking goodies along with heart rate, 24/7 stress management and blood oxygen level readings. Plus you can view all of this on the gorgeous AMOLED touchscreen display.

Luxe is rated 5 ATM as far as water-resistance and it will run for about 5 days on a single charge. There’s no built-in GPS but you do get Connected GPS.

If you’re after a slimmer, more discreet experience than the rest of Fitbit’s range Luxe is the obvious choice. It packs an impressive set of features at a reasonable price.
