Apple sets October 10 for Watch Mindfulness Challenge
Apple Watch users will soon have a new opportunity to engage with their mental health through the device on their wrist. The tech company is set to launch a “Mindful Month” Activity Challenge starting October 10, adding a fresh dimension to their existing lineup of Apple Watch challenges.
The initiative asks participants to record 10 minutes of mindfulness using any app that connects to the Health app. Users who complete the challenge will receive animated stickers they can use in the Messages app, adding a touch of achievement sharing to their daily conversations.
This addition to Apple’s challenge roster is noteworthy, as the company introduces new challenges sparingly. The most recent challenge was launched on August 25, celebrating national parks and requiring users to log a 20-minute workout using Health app-compatible applications.
Mental health awareness has become increasingly important in recent years, and Apple’s new challenge reflects this shift in health priorities. By incorporating mindfulness into their Activity Challenges, Apple is acknowledging the significance of mental wellbeing alongside physical fitness.
Users should begin seeing the challenge appear in their Apple Watch notifications in the coming days. This gives participants time to prepare and perhaps explore different mindfulness apps before the challenge officially begins.
