Well if you see the update on the shipping you covered you would read the introduced fee for a "subscription free" product.... didn't that ring a bell at all? :) i mean you don't even need to notice the negative comments, i'm not a backer and went there to see how things were going after seeing the article about shipping and instantly see that mention of a introductory fee... and i don't even look deep into stuff to write articles right? :)

We are in no way biased - have not contributed to the Kickstarter campaign, have not reviewed the device. If we were biased we would not be allowing negative comments. This article is based on their press release. We will look to follow up this weekend - covering the subscription fee change - and the negative comments surrounding this. Ultrahuman and Whoop - we tested both of those out so can offer a opinion based on real-world use. Actually, the first we heard of the negativity is a few days ago when we published an article covering shipping of Circular ring - and noticed negative comments.

Yeah i guess this blog is a bit biased on them, just promoting their new release on the immunity index (another gimmick numbers without any study or worth behind to support it) but zero mention on these suddenly change on subscription free (same as Whoop and Ultrahuman did and i think at the time some articles appeared here....)

Wish someone would write an article about what is really going on with the Kickstarter, fraud and deceit. They are getting their page rewritten so they can change the rules and Kickstarter is allowing it (even if stated against their own rules in their FAQ. Because they get a percentage of the pay out). Go read the actual Kickstarter comments for the real information on it.

I hope the Circular Team reads this here.

Your latest “update” is nothing more than a patronizing wall of excuses and gaslighting. Don’t insult our intelligence by pretending this is just a “miscommunication.” This is deliberate deception.

You took millions of dollars from backers on the promise of:

“With a one-time purchase, you get lifetime access to everything… and all future features. No recurring fees. No locked insights.”

We backed you because of that promise. Now you’ve erased it from your campaign page and replaced it with microtransactions for features we already paid for. Blood pressure and glucose monitoring were unlocked stretch goals — we funded them. You are charging us twice for what you already promised.

And don’t think we didn’t notice the retroactive campaign edits. Changing the wording after the campaign ended, once refunds were no longer possible, is calculated fraud. To then sit there and act like backers are just “confused” is beyond insulting. We’re not confused — you lied.

Your company’s track record speaks volumes:

Circular Ring 1 was already a disaster, riddled with broken promises and delivery nightmares.

Instead of redeeming your reputation, you’ve repeated the same bait-and-switch tactics on Circular Ring 2.

You admit you could grandfather early backers in for free (the bare minimum to honor your word), yet you refuse to do so. That decision alone proves this is about squeezing backers for every last cent.

And your “Circular Coins” system? It’s a joke. We didn’t back a grind-to-unlock scam. We backed a product with all features included.

Here’s what’s going to happen:

You will give early backers full access to all features — free, exactly as advertised.

Or you will issue full refunds to those of us who refuse to accept this sham.

If you don’t, I will report you to Kickstarter Trust & Safety, the FTC, and my Attorney General. I will file a chargeback for misrepresentation. And I will plaster your name across Reddit, Trustpilot, and tech forums, ensuring everyone knows exactly how Circular treats its customers. Your reputation won’t just take a hit — it’ll be shredded.

Stop hiding behind your canned responses. Stop gaslighting your backers. You lied, and you’re trying to wriggle out of it. This is your last chance to make things right.

Surprise Surprise.... subscription free.... but not subscription free lool Ultrahuman way :) waiting for an article about it :) Whoop style to let users know about things after they bought already and change the rules, funny if people would be able to refund on this since it was a stretch goal yes but was suppose to be included and free as advertised by them

"To preserve a subscription-free experience, these features will be made optional to activate on the Circular app, via Circular Coins or optional micro-transactions.
