|Description||A Kickstarter backed project, Card is a high tech device dedicated to skiing that provides audible real-time feedback through earphones and detailed analysis between runs. The extremely thin smart insert slides into any standard ski boot. It then analyzes every move you make to bring a new perspective on your technique.|
|Battery||Charges through USB. Battery life - 16+ hrs.|
|Water resistance||IP67 Water resistant.|
|Display||Smartphone (iOS and Android compatible).|
|Sensors||Accelerometer (3-axis), gyroscope (3-axis), magnetometer (3-axis) (compass). 48 independent pressure sensors per foot. 8-bit pressure measurement per a sensor.|
|Other||Ultra-thin smart insert (~1mm). Bluetooth Low Energy.|
The sensor unit is powered and controlled by the boot mounted Carv trackers, which are the brains of the system. The Carv tracker coordinates data collection, performs calculations for pressure and motion at high frequencies (220Hz), and oversees wireless communications with the smartphone.
|Tracks||Carv looks at metrics related to your weight distribution, timing, the orientation and symmetry of your skis. For every turn you make Carv analyses when, where and how much pressure you apply. For the freestyle skier Carv monitors your take-offs, landings and everything in between.|
|Real time feedback||Yes - via earphones.|
|Other||Realtime coaching; technique analysis; compete with friends; freestyle tracking; drills and lessons; record your runs.|
