Garmin CIRQA has now appeared in the UK trademark database, adding another region to the trail we reported earlier this week. The latest filing uses the same broad wearable sensor wording and directly claims priority from Garmin’s original US application.

The UK filing adds another piece

We covered Garmin CIRQA earlier this week after spotting new trademark filings in Canada and Europe. At the time, that already made the name more interesting because it showed Garmin protecting CIRQA beyond the original US filing from February.

Now there is another entry to add to the list. Credit goes to one of our readers, who spotted the UK filing and pointed us in its direction.

The UK Intellectual Property Office shows CIRQA under trade mark number UK00004405896, with the application received on June 23, 2026. The same date is also shown for examination, while the status history moved to pre-publication on July 2.

That does not mean that the trademark has completed the whole registration process. But it does show Garmin is continuing to secure the CIRQA name across major markets. The timing also lines up with the EUIPO and CIPO filings we reported previously.

The UK filing lists a priority date of February 25, 2026, with the United States of America as the priority country. It also references US trademark number 99670310, which ties this new UK entry back to the original USPTO filing.

The device wording stays the same

The UK listing keeps the same Class 9 language seen in the earlier filings. It describes CIRQA as wearable devices and instruments placed on the human body, including electronic sensors and monitors for measuring and analysing physical parameters, physiological data, bio-signals and bodily behaviour.

The filing also mentions recovery from physical and emotional stress, human alertness level, performance, training, storing and transmitting data, and receiving instructions related to those functions. It again frames the device for non-medical and non-therapeutic purposes.

There is still room for interpretation here. Trademark descriptions tend to cast a wide net, and Garmin will not reveal the actual product through legal wording alone. But the language remains specific enough to hint at a Whoop-like device, or at least something designed to sit outside the usual Garmin watch format.

The CIRQA trail now covers the US, Canada, Europe and the UK. That does not confirm a launch is imminent, but it does suggest Garmin is doing more than parking a name in one market.

Our guess is that CIRQA could make its debut around late August. Garmin often has new hardware to show around IFA in Berlin, and a body-worn recovery or performance sensor would give it a different kind of wearable story from another sports watch.

This article originally appeared on Gadgets & Wearables, the first media outlet to report the story.

An unfamiliar Amazfit watch turned up on the brand’s official Spanish Instagram account and it does not match anything currently sold. A red triangle on the bezel ties it visually to the T-Rex lineup, and the rugged round shape raises the question of a MIP display solar model.

What makes this one interesting

A grainy lifestyle photo would normally be easy to dismiss. Companies post background props all the time and most of them never turn into real leaks.

What changes the calculation here is the source. This came from Amazfit’s own regional account about a week ago rather than a random fan post. So the image deserves more scrutiny even without confirming anything outright.

The watch design is the real driver of the speculation. This watch looks chunky, round and built for outdoor use. Six buttons appear to line the case, and the screen reads as flatter and dimmer than the AMOLED panels Amazfit normally ships, fuelling talk of a MIP based outdoor watch. Perhaps even a solar one.

Here is a mockup we created based on the Instagram post.

What is worth noting is that the image does not show an obvious solar panel, so that part should stay speculative. What it does suggest is a rugged T-Rex-style watch, along with a display that does not appear to have the usual glossy AMOLED look.

Why the solar theory is not random

The most interesting part is that this does not arrive in a vacuum. A few days before that post, we looked inside the latest Zepp Health app build and found fresh references to solar-related features, including solar intensity, watch face input power and case-back input power. That does not prove a solar Amazfit watch is launching tomorrow, but it suggests Zepp Health is preparing the software side for some kind of solar-enabled device.

That is why the mystery watch feels more significant than a random teaser image. If Zepp Health really is working on solar support, the next question becomes what kind of watch would use it. An AMOLED model would be the less convincing answer, unless the company has developed some innovative technology. A rugged watch with a low-power MIP display makes a lot more sense.

Put those bits together and the T-Rex theory starts to look pretty reasonable. The company has said that they are planning at least one more T-Rex variant in the latter part of the year. So we might be getting T-Rex 4 or/and perhaps a solar version of the same.

A detail that complicates the theory

One thing still does not sit right. The watch is shown upside down on the wrist in the photo, which is too strange a detail to wave away.

It makes the whole image look slightly off, and it leaves room for less exciting explanations. Maybe it was a rushed marketing asset thrown together without much care, or maybe AI assisted editing reshaped the image somewhere along the way.

Even so, the official source keeps the theory alive. A random account posting this would be easy to ignore, but an official Amazfit regional page doing the same is a different story entirely.

Zepp Health looks to be prepping the groundwork for solar charging tech inside its main app. We had a look inside the latest APK build (10.5.0), and it shows specific mentions of solar intensity, watch face input power, along with case-back input power.

Of course, this does not guarantee a new watch is dropping tomorrow. Or the day after. But it does suggest the software side is being prepared for hardware that can report some form of light or solar input.

What the app code reveals

Solar references are not entirely new in the Zepp Health app. Earlier builds already contained a few solar related strings and a
SolarBatteryChargeRecord
. That record included fields like
lux
,
panelType
,
status
, and
chargePowerPercent
.

This suggests Zepp Health has been laying the groundwork for this feature for quite some time. The latest build appears to move things further by adding more visible, sync facing pieces around solar intensity.

The code now includes references like
solar_intensity
,
what_is_solar_intensity
,
watch_face_input_power
, and
case_back_input_power
. There is also explanatory text that describes solar intensity as “the instantaneous luminous flux received per unit area on the device’s exposed surface”.

The newer build also includes a
SolarIntensityAction
inside the device action model. One related event string refers to clicking a solar intensity entrance. This suggests the feature will appear as a tappable menu option somewhere in the device section of the app.

There is also a
SolarIntensitySyncJob
and a
SOLAR_INTENSITY
data type. These sit alongside a
SUPPORT_SOLAR_INTENSITY
flag. This points directly to a feature that depends entirely on compatible hardware.

The mention of
watch_face_input_power
remains the most interesting part. It suggests the app is preparing to show power input through the front of a watch, which fits a solar assisted display layer perfectly. That does not confirm a specific product, but it points in a very clear direction.

The
case_back_input_power
reference is still harder to pin down. It could relate to charging diagnostics, internal testing, a unique dock, or a different power path altogether. For now, it appears Zepp Health is building the app framework for hardware that reports light based input.

The strategic alignment for Amazfit

Solar tech makes total sense given the company’s rugged outdoor watches line. Adding a solar layer works as a battery extender rather than a full replacement for a plug-in charger.

This matches how other brands use solar grids to stretch battery life. Garmin dominates this space. It uses its special Power Glass and Power Sapphire lenses to squeeze extra days of watch mode out of its Fenix and Instinct lines.

Garmin packs a see-through photovoltaic layer right between the display and the outer lens. It tracks real-world energy using a solar intensity graph. This setup gives users a clear look at sunlight conditions over the previous few hours.

Suunto uses a similar approach with some of its devices in the Vertical range. It gives outdoor athletes battery gains when they train under direct sunlight.

Why it probably won’t feature an AMOLED screen

This software leak raises a major question about the display. Solar harvesting and vibrant AMOLED panels do not mix well. AMOLED screens are incredibly power hungry, so a tiny solar grid cannot generate enough juice to offset what the screen burns.

Instead, major brands stick to memory in pixel screens for their solar models. Garmin and Suunto use these low power reflective displays because they sip energy and thrive in direct sunlight.

Like other brands, Amazfit builds almost all its current watches with bright AMOLED panels. If Zepp Health wants to make a serious solar watch, it will likely need to ditch that tech for a more efficient display.

The company actually has experience with this setup. Early hits like the Amazfit Bip S relied on reflective transflective screens to deliver legendary battery life. Going back to a reflective screen would make a ton of sense for an extreme adventure watch.

Which means a solar watch would be a return to MIP displays for Zepp Health. On the other hand, Garmin has registered a patent for solar tech on a AMOLED display. If Zepp Health opts for this route it would beat Garmin to the punch as the first smartwatch band with this type of tech.

Potential device candidates

Of course, developers often add code months before a watch goes into production. Sometimes these features stay locked inside prototypes that never launch publicly.

The current code lacks any specific model names or launch dates. It just confirms the engineering team is working on a software layer that hints at this type of functionality. So there is no absolute confirmation this will happen.

But it fits. And the timing fits the broader push into specialized training tools. A solar model would help Zepp Health target the endurance and adventure market.

If this code turns into real hardware, the rugged outdoor lines are the most obvious fit. Big, durable cases provide plenty of room for a solar ring around the display. Perhaps the T-Rex or Falcon line. We are expecting new candidates from both in the months ahead.

There is also a chance this is tied to a new device category rather than a conventional watch. The references to input power leave some room for interpretation.

Until a certification listing or product name appears, this should be treated as an interesting clue rather than confirmation. But it is a clue with enough detail to keep an eye on.

An APK teardown helps predict features that may arrive on a service in the future based on work-in-progress code. However, it is possible that such predicted features may not make it to a public release.

Garmin Connect 5.26 contains a new Enduro 4 device entry with internal ID 5179, according to our latest app teardown. The same update also adds deeper phone call handling, new safety feature wording and several activity screen changes, so this looks like more than a routine app refresh.

Enduro 4 is the headline

The biggest find is simple. The string “Enduro_4” appears in Garmin Connect 5.26, but it does not appear in Garmin Connect 5.25. That makes it a new addition in the latest version of the Android app.

This is not just a loose text string sitting in a forgotten corner of the APK. The teardown shows the name inside a Garmin device registry-style table, with an internal ID and category flags for fitness, outdoor, golf and wellness. That is the same sort of broad category mapping Garmin uses for multi-sport watches.

That does not confirm a launch date. It also does not give us images, pricing, sensor details or battery claims. But it does suggest Garmin Connect is being prepared to recognise a next-generation Enduro watch.

The naming is also worth noting. There has been some speculation about whether Garmin might skip the number 4, as it did years ago with the Fenix line. This app entry points the other way. For now, the internal name is clearly Enduro 4.

What Enduro 4 might bring

The timing makes sense. Enduro 2 arrived in August 2022 and Enduro 3 followed in August 2024. So an August or September 2026 window would fit Garmin’s recent rhythm for the series.

The obvious bet is that Garmin keeps Enduro focused on battery life first. This is the watch for people who want long GPS tracking, solar charging, a light case and fewer battery compromises than the Fenix line. That makes a MIP display more likely than AMOLED, at least if Garmin wants to protect the identity of the range.

AMOLED remains possible, but it would change the product’s logic. Garmin already has plenty of bright-screen premium watches. Enduro works because it feels more ruthless. Less polish, more time away from a charger. If Garmin moves it to AMOLED, it will need a very good reason.

The more interesting possibility is communication. Some speculation around Enduro 4 points to LTE, satellite-style messaging or voice features, especially if Garmin wants the Enduro line to sit closer to the most capable outdoor models. Our teardown does not tie those features to Enduro 4, so this remains speculation.

Call handling gets new plumbing

Garmin Connect 5.26 also adds more serious phone-call infrastructure. The app now includes the Android permission
MANAGE_ONGOING_CALLS
, along with a new Garmin in-call service called
GNCSInCallService
.

That lines up with new call-related strings for incoming calls, ongoing calls, call screening, answering, rejecting and disconnecting. The notification database also gains a new
callType
field, which suggests Garmin is improving how the app classifies phone call events before passing them to a watch.

Safety features get more structure

Safety also receives a visible refresh. Garmin Connect 5.26 contains expanded wording around Assistance Plus, Emergency Calling, Incident Detection, SOS and the Garmin Response team. There is also clearer language around LTE plans and data coverage.

That matters because Garmin’s safety stack has become more complicated. Some features depend on phone connection, some on LTE-capable devices and some on service coverage. The new wording suggests Garmin wants the app to explain those differences more clearly.

More device and subscription clues

The local device database gains a new capability flag called
startStopWorkoutCapable
. That is an interesting technical addition because it points to devices that can start and stop workouts through app or device interaction. No mention of Cirqa, though.

Garmin Connect 5.26 also adds a direct path for Device Priority settings. That feature already existed, but the new deep link suggests Garmin is making it easier to surface.

There are also fresh signs of Garmin Connect+ gating. New strings refer to coach plans requiring Garmin Connect+, along with plan selection for cycling, fitness, triathlon and other coaching categories. Another new string mentions discount codes for selected Garmin devices and accessories for eligible subscribers.

Our takeaway

There is enough info here to suggestion Garmin is preparing app-side support for Enduro 4. So dont be surprised if the device lands in the next couple of months.

If the company keeps the Enduro formula intact, the next model should focus on longer endurance, lighter materials and better outdoor tools. If Garmin decides to push harder, emergency communication and voice features would fit the series better than smartwatch extras.

Suunto Core 2 has appeared in another certification database, adding a fresh pre-launch marker for the unreleased outdoor watch. The Indonesian e-Sertifikasi listing shows model OW245 as a Suunto Outdoor Watch, matching the model number from the earlier FCC filing.

Another database now shows OW245

The listing was issued on 4 June 2026 under certificate number 122484/DJID/2026. It names Suunto as the brand, gives OW245 as the model and uses “SUUNTO OW245” as the marketing name.

The device category is listed as Outdoor Watch. That lines up with the FCC material and with the Core 2 identity already shown on the label.

The applicant is PT Indo Arloji Perkasa, with China shown as the country of origin. There is no product image in the database entry and the listing does not reveal additional hardware details.

Still, it gives us a second certification trail for the same model. That usually means the device is moving through regional approval ahead of launch, rather than sitting as a forgotten internal filing.

The FCC filing already told us more

The earlier FCC filing remains the stronger source because the label included the Core 2 name directly. It also gave away the most interesting hardware clues.

The CR3032 battery points to a replaceable coin-cell setup rather than a rechargeable smartwatch design. That makes Core 2 feel much closer to the original Core than to watches such as Suunto Race or Vertical.

Bluetooth LE adds the modern layer. That could mean app pairing, firmware updates, settings sync or basic data transfer. It does not automatically turn Core 2 into a full smartwatch.

The 100m water resistance is also useful. It suggests Suunto wants this to feel like a proper outdoor watch, not just a nostalgic Core reissue with a new name.

From earlier FCC filing

This looks like a proper Core revival

The new Indonesian listing does not change the basic picture. It reinforces it.

Core 2 now looks like a modern version of Suunto’s old outdoor tool watch. The formula appears to be replaceable battery, rugged build, Bluetooth support and outdoor-first positioning.

The big unknown is timing. The FCC confidentiality period pointed toward September 2026 as a possible key date, unless Suunto launches before then or extends the hold. The Indonesian certification now gives us recent movement in early June, which keeps the launch trail alive.

There is still plenty we do not know. The listing does not confirm pricing, case size, display type or exact feature set. But the model number now appears in more than one place and the product category remains consistent.

A possible Pixel Watch 5 has appeared in one of the stranger wearable leaks we have seen for a while, after it was reportedly found underwater near St. Martin. The watch appears to carry Pixel Watch 5 branding on the back.

The story comes from Randy Pitchford, who posted on X that a friend found the watch while scuba diving near the island. According to the post, the device seemed to be fine, with the display showing an empty battery icon while still keeping enough reserve power to show the correct time.

A friend of mine found this watch a few days ago ~underwater~ when he was scuba diving near the island of St. Martin. He noted that the reverse of the watch indicates that it is a Google Pixel 5, which has not yet been announced, let alone released. It seems to be fine. The face… pic.twitter.com/Mnenov1sFE
— Randy Pitchford (@DuvalMagic) May 31, 2026

That is a wonderfully odd way for an unreleased smartwatch to surface. Most leaks arrive through regulatory filings, retailer listings, app code or factory images. Not this one.

The back of the watch does the talking

The face looks very familiar, with the same rounded Pixel Watch style Google has used across the range. The real clues sit on the underside.

The rear casing appears to show “Google” and “Pixel Watch 5” branding, along with markings for SpO2, skin temperature, EDA, UWB, pressure sensor and IP68. A 45mm marking also seems to be visible, although the angle and reflections make some of the smaller text harder to read.

So based only on the visible caseback text, there is no obvious new sensor category here. Previous reports have suggested Google could move the next watch to an in-house Tensor chip, with newer CPU cores and a more efficient 3nm design.

Of course, a printed marking can mislead, images can be altered and prototype units do not always reflect final retail hardware. Still, the combination of the physical design, rear markings and the odd discovery story makes this harder to dismiss outright.

Not much design change on show

Assuming the device is real, the leak does not show a dramatic design shift. The watch looks close to the current Pixel Watch formula, with a curved circular case and a fairly clean underside layout.

The lack of visible software also limits what we can take from this. The device was not shown running Wear OS in any useful way, and the low battery screen does not tell us much about new features. So for now, this is more about existence and markings than function.

The internet enjoyed this one

The reaction has been almost as interesting as the leak itself. One widely shared reply called it “maybe the most Google thing to ever happen,” which neatly sums up the mood around the post. Google hardware has a long history of early appearances, misplaced prototypes and unusually public leaks.

Other comments have been more sceptical. Some users pointed out that the watch looks very similar to the current Pixel Watch design, while others questioned whether the “5” marking could have been altered. That is fair, because a leak this unusual needs more caution than a clean FCC filing or official support page slip.

Still, the story has the kind of weirdness that makes it hard to ignore. A possible Pixel Watch 5 turning up underwater before launch is exactly the sort of thing people remember, even if the visible hardware changes end up looking fairly modest.

Pixel Watch 5 will likely arrive in September or October if Google keeps to its usual schedule. Until then, these images give us a strange early look at what may be the next model, but not much in the way of confirmed upgrades. Oh, and if you are wondering, the watch is reportedly being returned to its owner.

Garmin CIRQA has picked up an interesting new rumour, but it needs a clear warning label. A since-deleted Reddit post from an anonymous burner account claimed the device could work alongside Garmin watches to improve auto-detection, start workouts and fill in missing activity data.

Now let’s be clear – that is not confirmed information. Not even close. There are no screenshots, app references or any documents to support it. But the idea is still worth looking at.

The claim goes beyond normal auto-detection

According to this info, CIRQA would work on its own, but its main feature would come when worn with a Garmin watch. The user would be asked to wear the band on the opposite arm, allowing the watch and CIRQA to combine 24/7 heart rate, gyroscope and accelerometer data.

Apparently, this setup would allow Garmin to identify workouts automatically, even when the user has not started an activity. It also says users would be able to edit auto-detected workouts later, with Garmin filling in the details from the background data already collected.

For outdoor activities, the claim goes further. When running, CIRQA and the watch would allegedly detect the run and automatically start an activity on the watch to enable GPS. Users would supposedly be able to choose between automatic start and stop, or a prompt to start the activity manually.

That is a very specific claim for an anonymous post. So it should not be treated as firm information. But as a product idea, it is not too far fetched.

Why the idea fits Garmin

Garmin already has Move IQ, which can recognise some activity patterns in the background. But that is not the same as a proper recorded workout. If you want the full Garmin experience, with GPS, training effect, load, recovery and sport-specific data, you still usually need to press start.

That is where CIRQA could be useful. If Garmin can use a second wearable to improve detection, it could close one of the gaps with Whoop. Whoop is strong because users do not need to think about logging every workout. Garmin is stronger once the workout has started, but it still relies more on manual recording.

A second sensor position could also help in some situations. Wearing CIRQA on the opposite arm might improve heart-rate reliability or movement classification when the watch wrist is compromised. It is easy to see why Garmin might explore this.

But the hard part is reliability

The tricky bit is not detecting a run. The tricky bit is doing this well across real life. Cycling, strength training, racket sports and mixed sessions can all create messy wrist movement. Two arms can also tell different stories, especially if one hand is holding something.

That makes the automatic GPS start claim the part to treat with the most caution. A prompt on the watch sounds believable. Silent auto-start would need to be very reliable, otherwise it could quickly become annoying.

Still, the bigger idea is interesting. CIRQA as a standalone screenless band sounds useful, but not especially different from other passive health trackers. CIRQA as a companion sensor for Garmin watches is a stronger pitch.

For now, this remains an unverified claim. But it raises the right question. If Garmin wants CIRQA to stand out, making it work with existing watches may be a smarter route than simply chasing Whoop on its own terms.

Huawei may be preparing one of its busiest smartwatch launch windows in recent memory, with a new leak pointing to several wearable releases in Q3 2026. The list reportedly includes the Watch GT 7 series, Watch 6, Watch D3, a new SuperNova Watch X1 colour and a more unusual Huawei and Descente ski-focused model.

The information comes via a Weibo tipster (@FixedFocus) and should still be treated as a roadmap leak rather than a confirmed launch schedule. But if the lineup is accurate, Huawei may be lining up a packed smartwatch release cycle.

The Descente model is the wildcard

The most interesting name in the leak is not Watch GT 7 or Watch 6. It is the Huawei and Descente smartwatch, which appears to be positioned as a ski-focused model, possibly sitting under Huawei’s Ultimate Design branding.

Descente has a strong association with winter sports and Huawei already has premium outdoor watch hardware that could support a more specialised sports edition. A ski watch would also give Huawei something more distinctive than another luxury finish or strap refresh.

The useful question is what Huawei actually does with the concept. It could be a design-led collaboration with themed faces, straps and ski modes. Or Huawei could go deeper with skiing performance metrics, route tracking, altitude data and sport-specific algorithms.

GT 7 could carry the mainstream line

The Watch GT 7 series is likely to be the more important launch in volume terms. Huawei’s GT range has become the company’s mainstream fitness and battery-life line, sitting below the more expensive Watch series while still offering strong health and sports features.

No word yet on what GT 7 and GT 7 Pro would bring. Possibly long battery life, a bright display, solid sports tracking, along with a design that feels more like a proper watch than a basic tracker.

The challenge for Huawei is that this part of the market is crowded. Garmin, Zepp Health, Samsung and Apple all approach the space from different angles, so Huawei needs a clear reason for users to look at GT 7 beyond another annual upgrade.

Watch 6 may be about health sensing

The Watch 6 could be the model where Huawei pushes its health platform forward. Watch 5 introduced X-TAP, the side-mounted health sensor module that combines ECG, PPG and pressure input for faster manual readings.

That gives Huawei a useful base to work from. The first version showed the idea. A Watch 6 could show whether Huawei sees fingertip-based sensing as a headline feature or as part of a broader health platform.

The company has already been moving beyond basic heart rate, sleep and SpO2 data towards risk assessment and richer health snapshots. If Watch 6 improves how those readings are interpreted, it could become more than a premium lifestyle watch with a clever side sensor.

Watch D3 keeps the medical angle alive

The Watch D3 mention is also worth watching, even if the timing sounds less certain. Huawei’s Watch D line has always sat apart from the rest of the range because of its blood pressure focus. There has been speculation around broader metabolic health features.

If it does arrive in or after Q3, it could help Huawei keep a foothold in a category where most smartwatches still avoid proper blood pressure hardware. That remains one of the few areas where Huawei has a genuinely different proposition.

A busier roadmap than usual

Taken together, the leak suggests Huawei may be preparing a much more segmented smartwatch lineup for the second half of 2026. GT 7 would handle the mainstream fitness watch role, Watch 6 would carry the premium health-tech story and Watch D3 would continue the more specialised blood pressure line.

The Descente model adds the more unusual part. It hints at Huawei using partnerships to create watches for specific sports identities rather than just selling one premium watch in several finishes.

A new Zepp Health FCC filing has revealed an Amazfit “Smart sensor” with the model number A2671, along with a second listed variant called A2672. The filing does not name the product, but the shape, specs and timing point strongly towards the next Helio Strap or Helio Core hardware.

Zepp Health has already said that it is working on next-generation Helio hardware for the second half of 2026. This filing now gives us the first real regulatory clue that something in that line is moving through the pipeline.

The filing points to a screenless sensor

The documents describe the product as a Smart sensor rather than a smartwatch, which is the first important clue. The device uses Bluetooth Low Energy in the 2.4GHz band, with no sign of GPS, Wi-Fi, LTE, NFC or any other wireless system in the visible documents.

The external drawing is more interesting than the radio details. It shows a small rectangular module with rounded corners, a large circular sensor area on the back and two charging contacts below it. That layout pretty much matches the exact shape of the first generation Helio Strap

The model numbers are also worth noting. A2671 and A2672 do not match the current Helio Strap model references we have seen before, which suggests this is not simply the same device being copied across another document. It’s also noteworthy that two variants of the same underlying sensor module are listed. That could mean regional versions, different bundles or a standalone core and strap package.

Visible upgrades are limited for now

The interesting part is that the visible specs do not scream major hardware overhaul. The battery is listed at 230mAh, which is very close to the current Helio Core’s listed capacity. The label still shows 5 ATM water resistance and the filing focuses on basic BLE connectivity.

That does not mean upgrades are absent. FCC documents are useful for radio, battery and external design clues, but they don’t tell the full product story. Improvements to optical sensor layout, algorithms, strap design, app integration, recovery metrics or training guidance could easily sit outside the visible filing.

This is where the Helio Strap 2 story becomes more nuanced. The documents suggest continuity rather than a dramatic redesign, but they also suggest Zepp Health is preparing fresh hardware.

A stronger signal than roadmap talk

Until now, Helio Strap 2 sat mostly in roadmap territory. Zepp Health had already hinted that more Helio hardware was coming, but there was little to point to beyond that. This FCC filing changes the picture because it gives us a model number, a physical outline, wireless details and an Amazfit-branded smart sensor label.

The confidentiality request is also useful. Zepp Health asked for the external photos, internal photos, test setup photos and user manual to stay hidden until the device is marketed, or for 180 days from the FCC grant date, whichever comes first. The request itself is dated May 12th, 2026, so if the grant date sits around the same period, the withheld material would likely become public around early to mid November 2026 unless the product launches before then.

That lines up with the company’s earlier second-half 2026 comments around next-generation Helio hardware. It is not the same as a launch confirmation, but this is the kind of regulatory breadcrumb that usually appears when hardware is moving closer to release.

Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro is now out, and its new HRV feature makes that month-old Smart Band 11 leak from Chinese forums look a lot more credible. If the rest of the specs hold up, the regular model could be getting a much bigger sensor upgrade than expected.

The HRV detail changes things

When the Smart Band 11 specs leak first appeared online, it was difficult to know what to make of it. Some of the specs sounded realistic, while others felt a bit too ambitious for Xiaomi’s regular fitness band line.

The important detail was HRV. The leak claimed Smart Band 11 would add Heart Rate Variability tracking alongside more advanced recovery analysis. At the time, that felt uncertain because Xiaomi had never really pushed HRV on its Smart Bands.

But Smart Band 10 Pro changes the picture. Xiaomi has now officially added HRV to that device, which suddenly makes the same Smart Band 11 claim feel much less random.

That does not mean the leak is definitely real. But it now lines up much more closely with Xiaomi’s current direction.

A brighter display with slimmer borders

The design claims are more specific than they first look. Smart Band 11 is said to move to a 1.78-inch display with an 8% higher screen-to-body ratio, which suggests Xiaomi may be shrinking the black border around the screen rather than making the tracker itself much bigger.

The leak also mentions 2200 nits peak brightness, Outdoor Strong Light Adaptive Mode and smoother font edges. That would make the display easier to read outdoors and help messages and sports data fit more cleanly on the small screen.

The body may slim down too. The leak points to an 8.99mm thin metal frame, while the weight stays at 15.95g, matching Smart Band 10 without the strap.

The strap changes are also notable. The leaked Konger leather magnetic strap and half-chain option make Smart Band 11 sound less like a pure fitness tracker and more like an everyday wearable.

Here is a render we put together of what Smart Band 11 may look like based on the leaked specs.

Xiaomi Smart Band 11 concept image | Source: Gadgets & Wearables

More sensors, more recovery

The leak mentions a three-axis magnetometer and barometric altitude dual sensor. That would help Smart Band 11 record climbing height and give it better outdoor tracking context.

It also mentions a new body temperature sensor and electrodermal activity monitoring. If accurate, those additions would push the band further into stress, sleep and recovery tracking, rather than just basic fitness logging.

The menstrual cycle prediction claim also fits that direction. The leak says the band could monitor night-time body temperature fluctuations to provide earlier period warnings.

Sports and charging get a boost

Reportedly, the new device will have 200+ sports modes, up from the 150+ modes on Smart Band 10. It also mentions AI Motion Correction and Post-Workout Recovery Scoring, with HIIT and Pilates called out as new examples.

That sounds like Xiaomi wants to give the band more guidance after exercise, not just record the session and move on. Recovery scoring would also fit with HRV if Xiaomi decides to build a broader readiness-style feature around it.

Battery life is listed at up to 10 days with heavy use. The more interesting claim is magnetic fast charging, with 10 minutes of charging giving up to three days of use.

What this probably means

If all of this accurate, Smart Band 11 could be one of the more ambitious updates in Xiaomi’s regular band line. Not because it changes the whole design, but because it may bring the standard model closer to recovery tracking, better outdoor use and more polished everyday wear. It would actually bring it close to the likes of Fitbit Charge 6 – at least in terms of the sensor hardware.

For now, this still belongs in the leak bucket. The Pro model has shown where Xiaomi is heading, and Smart Band 11 may be the device that brings more of that direction to the regular band.

As far as a possible launch date, we usually get the next gen Smart Band in May or early June. There’s no reason to think this year will be any different.

Tech specs comparison – Smart Band 11 (leak) vs Smart Band 10
