The state of health technology in six visuals

Health technology is expected to grow substantially over the next few years. This should make the lives of patients and doctors much easier. For instance, it is predicted that both parties will soon be able to access patient’s medical records remotely.

The ultimate aim is to decrease costs and, at the same time, improve care. There are many systems and products undergoing development that will help to make this happen. This, for example, includes IT-enabled medical devices and diagnostic tools, social services that allow doctors to connect to each other, genomics and personalised medicine and telehealth – to name a few.

To give a better understanding of the current state of health technology, our friends over at Appcessories kindly sent us this infographic which visualises the industry as it stands today.
