B2v2: a headband that helps you sleep deeper and longer
Sleep tracking is becoming big business. But its not just the big boys such as Fitbit, Apple and Garmin that are jumping in. It seems every other day we are running an article about a crowdfounding campaign that claims to offer the latest in sleep tracking.
The latest addition to this space is the B2v2, a headband, worn for minutes a day. Brain State Technologies, a neurotechnology company, claims the wearable helps 85% of users sleep deeper and longer. Its original B-2 device boasts a user-base of over 4,200.
We all know sleep is important. It plays a vital role in good health and well-being throughout your life. Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety.

It all sounds very high-tech. Using proprietary algorithms, B2v2 converts your brainwaves from both frontal poles and temporal lobes into music-like tones, recognizing along the way out-of-balance brainwaves.
When this is played back and your brain hears itself, and its activity, in this manner, it recognizes what’s out of balance and begins to self-correct. This in turn relaxes you, improving sleep, providing stress release and improving overall feelings of wellness.
“Stress affects emotions, behavior, thinking ability and physical health. B2v2 helps the brain reset itself reducing the negative effects of stress,” said Lee Gerdes, Brain State CEO.
“B2v2 supports the brain to move back to a naturally balanced performance pattern by reflecting each individual’s unique brain waves. It’s unlike any other technology ever developed.”
What each person hears is completely different because no two brains are the same. Using B2v2 over time also trains your brain to become better at self-regulating itself and more resiliant. Much like you build muscles by going to the gym regularly.
