BRID Air Purifier: keep harmful pollutants at bay with style

Much has been said on this website about the importance of air quality as most people are unaware that this can pose significant health risks. The good news is that keeping the air in your home or office clean and fresh has never been easier thanks to a flurry of new products.

Functionality is one part of the picture, but it helps if the gadget is visually appealing. The BRID Air Purifier is designed to look as clean as the air it releases. Almost meditative in its appearance, its sports a highly unique, beautiful visual style.

The device pulls air from the base, filters it and releases it from the top. Unlike most of its competitors, there is no additional cost associated with filter replacements. This is because BRID’s filters are designed to be re-useable. Simply place them under a running faucet, and you are set to go.

Because of its modular design, you can stack anywhere from 1 to 3 filters on top of each other. This really depends on the size of your room, the quality of the air and how quickly you want to clean your surroundings.

In terms of functionality, the gadget breaks down Carbon Monoxide, bacteria, pollutants, organic odors, attacks bacteria and traps allergens. Instead of sticking to the filters or collecting on metal plates, they are all vaporised into thin air. BRID is the only purifier using Nano Ceramic Core Filter and LED visible light, so nano particles never escape into the environment. This means the gadget doesn’t generate Ozone, which most UV based purifiers do.

Everything these days seems to have an app and BRID is no different. If you are away from the unit, it will allow you to use your smartphone to monitor filters, check air quality and operate between auto, night and boost mode.

The gadget may seem a little pricey, but keep in mind that you never need to replace filters. Its campaign on Kickstarter is doing well, having raised more than twice it $90,000 goal with over a month to go. There are two versions to choose from, one made of pure metal and a more natural looking oak base version. Delivery is set for early next year.
