Tag Heuer Connected Modular 41, a luxury watch for smaller wrists

Tag Heuer has an announced the Connected Modular 41, a smaller, more powerful version of last year’s luxury timepiece.

As its name implies, the new watch has a 41mm diameter, down from 45mm on the Connected Modular 45. This means its much better suited for those with smaller wrists. The other design upgrade is to do with the screen. The brightness of the 390 x 390, 326 ppi AMOLED display has been bumped up to a maximum of 350 nits.

Like its predecessor, the Android Wear timepiece is very customizable. In fact, by combining interchangeable elements you can choose from numerous different configurations! You can even take out the Connected module and slip in a mechanical one when you’re looking to switch it up. There are also seven base options and a mixture of straps available.

Still developed in collaboration with Intel and Google, the Swiss made watch has plenty of smarts under the hood. The Connected module features an Intel processor, more storage (8GB of storage memory and 1GB of RAM), and a lithium battery for more than a day of full power. The new smartwatch is also water resistant to 50 meters and has GPS and an NFC sensor for contactless payment through Android Pay.

The Connected Modular 41 offers all the functionality of its larger cousin. Slightly cheaper at $1,200, this is still a very pricey timepiece. Definitely one for those with deep pockets!
