So far the device has performed very well and seems to be very accurate when it comes to tracking daily activity. On that note, the fitness tracker keeps tabs on steps, distance, calories and your activities. During the night it automatically monitors your sleep, no need to press any buttons.

In the morning, the MiFit app provides you with stats on awake time, light sleep and deep sleep, along with useful sleep quality analysis and suggestions on how to improve your kip time. There is also a 24/7 optical heart rate monitor which takes measurements around the clock and lets you know your resting heart rate.

The device comes in various colours and has a vibrant, 1.23 inches IPS LCD, always-on screen which is coated with scratch-resistant 2.5D Corning gorilla glass. Despite weighing only 32 grams, it feels very sturdy when worn and the screen is easily readable both indoors and out.

The default display shows the current time and date, along with a circle which fills as you get closer to achieving your daily step goal. Tapping on the bottom of the screen and swiping to the right takes you through the various functions.  This also includes some non-fitness features such as a notifications (text messages, emails and app notifications), a weather display and a timer.

“Amazfit Cor is Huami’s most durable and resilient activity tracker to date, yet its slim design looks elegant and feels comfortable for both daytime wear and sleep tracking,” said Frederik Hermann, Head of U.S. Marketing and Sales for Huami.

“It is an ideal wristband for people who are in the elements, work a demanding job, or regularly come in contact with dirt and water, keeping you in the know at all times with its large and bright screen.”

The tracker comes with a 170 mAh lithium polymer battery which will run for up to 12 days between charges. This is great battery life which compares well to the competition. The 5 ATM water resistance rating means you only need to take the fitness band off when refuelling.
