VIITA Titan HRV: a luxury smartwatch for a relatively budget price

After three high-quality smartwatch collections, VIITA is back with something new. Titan is a luxury Garmin competitor that is going for a relatively budget price.
This is actually the Austrian company’s second time around raising funds for the wearable. Earlier this year it generated €384,966 on Kickstarter, hitting its goal of €20,000 in just 90 minutes. Now is on Indiegogo offering those who may have missed the opportunity another chance to get the device at its discounted pre-order price.

Titan has all the qualities of a high-end, luxury watch. It features a full grade 1 titanium body, a bezel made of zirconia ceramic, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal touch screen and 10 ATM water resistance. The back cover is made from aircraft aluminum.
For those not in the know, titanium is often used in the aircraft industry due to its properties. These include its ability to withstand even the greatest pressure. Its also 42% lighter and dramatically harder than stainless steel. This what you want in a luxury smartwatch.
But Titan not just about design. It also sports some impressive specs under the hood. In terms of tracking your activity, it will keep tabs on movement, calories, sleep time and quality, pulse and heart rate variability. The on-board GPS helps it measure activities (speed, distance, time, heart rate and calories) for 19 types of sport. To top it off, a unique algorithm dishes out stress levels, water consumption and regeneration status data. This info is then built into individual training recommendations.
Those interested in the device will be happy to know Titan is not a device you’ll be charging often. The Lithium Ion 530 mAh battery will keep the gizmo going for two weeks between charges.
Perhaps best of all is the price. While $329 may seem like a lot, it really isn’t when you take the build and specs into consideration. Its also less than half of what the watch will sell for once it is officially launched.
There are a few weeks left in the Indiegogo campaign if you want in. Delivery is scheduled for January 2019.
