The occasion is an annual United States public holiday that celebrates the service of persons who served in the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with other holidays, including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, celebrated in other countries to mark the anniversary of the end of the first World War.
As reported by 9to5Mac, on the big day users will need to do any workout that’s recorded through the Workout app, lasting 11 minutes or more. This will earn them a special Veterans Day-themed badge that will show up in the Activity app, along with a matching Messages app stickers. The reward is only redeemable on November 11th so make sure you mark that date in your calendar.
This is the second year in a row Apple is running the challenge. Its last challenge was a national-park themed reward that celebrated Redwood National Park in California turning 50. Other challenges this year included the Earth Day Challenge, International Women’s Day Challenge, Apple Heart Month Challenge and the New Year Challenge.
