Wynd Halo & Home Purifier: breathe well at home

Smartduvet Breeze: self-making bed with dual-zone climate control

Wynd Technologies has launched two new products today to help you breathe well at home – Wynd Halo, a smart air quality monitor, and Wynd Home Purifier, a powerful room air purifier.

This is the company’s second time around on Kickstarter. A couple of years ago, the outfit raised over $600,000 to develop Wynd Plus, a smart air purifier that you can carry with you. The gadget is now available for purchase to all.

The new products are a different take on the same problem – air pollution. Unfortunately breathing unhealthy air has become an inevitable part of daily life for many of us. Even worse, few people know that the air in their home can be more polluted than the air outside.

Wynd Halo contains an impressive set of 10 environmental sensors that monitor everything from allergens, odors, chemicals, mold, pollution, temperature, humidity, to noise and ambient light. A novel touch is that they tell you what’s actually in the air, for example “Healthy”, “Likely Pollen”, “Likely Smoke”, “Hazardous”.

If you opt to purchase the Wynd Home Purifier, the two will communicate taking care of any air quality issues for you. Wynd Halo also plays nice with third-party devices such as Nest Thermostat, Alexa-enabled and Apple HomeKit for home automation. All this is customizable via the accompanying Wynd Halo app.

The California-based outfit says its Home Purifier is the most powerful in its class. The gizmo has two V-Class HEPA filters which are capable of generating over 316 cubic feet per minute of clean air. This is enough to purify a 1,200 square foot room in under 30 minutes.

“Wynd launched on Kickstarter two years ago with its first product, a personal smart air purifier, which became the largest crowdfunded air quality campaign ever.” said Raymond Wu, CEO and co-founder of Wynd.

“Since then, we’ve listened to our community, invented new technology, and are excited to expand into monitoring and cleaning larger spaces.”

Available on Kickstarter starting today, Wynd Halo and Wynd Home Purifier can be purchased in a bundle or separately. Backers can expect to get their devices in May 2019.
