Garmin starts broadcasting its own podcast on Deezer

Garmin has debuted its own channel on the Deezer streaming platform. The brand’s podcast provides stories and curates playlists from fitness enthusiasts, professional athletes, explorers, pilots and more.

Deezer is a French-based service which has grown rapidly since it first opened for business back in 2006. It currently has around 14 million users and over 56 million tracks and 30,000 radio channels. There are free and premium options amongst a total of six different Deezer account types.

Garmin watch compatibility was announced just over a year ago. In addition to Deezer, music enabled Garmin watches also play nice with iHeartRadio and Spotify.

To access the service, users need to download the Deezer app to their watch via Garmin Connect. Than its a matter of launching the app, selecting Deezer in the Music Providers section, connecting via WiFi, and opening an account. Deezer allows owners of compatible Garmin watches to store more than 100 tracks on their device, sync playlists, get a daily refresh of songs with Deezer Flow and choose from a variety of customized playlists.

The list of compatible devices includes: the Forerunner 245 Music, Forerunner 645 Music, Forerunner 945, Fenix 5 Plus range, Fenix 6 range, MARQ range, Vivoactive 3 Music, Vivoactive 4 range and more. Hopefully your watch is in here.

Many people enjoy running or cycling to music. By subscribing to Garmin’s channel they can now aim for their personal bests with music chosen by athletes, explorers and more. The channel will also stream stories and provide additional connect from Garmin.
