Amazfit Verge 2 Avengers edition goes on pre-sale in China
Huami has opened pre-orders in China for the Amazfit Verge 2 Avengers Limited Edition. The series will consist of only 5,000 units. Slated for end-July, complexities in manufacturing means the wearable is only launching now.

The special edition watch was originally announced on July 11th along with Verge 2 and Verge 2 ECG. The first was available immediately for purchase, while the ECG variant and Avengers iteration were scheduled for release a few weeks later.
Huami mentioned the complexity of manufacturing as the reason for its inability to meet this schedule. The ceramic body of the watch comes out after 35 days of precision processing and then it goes through 24 complex processes. The difficulties involved with this have pushed back the date. We have yet to hear when the ECG iteration will be available for purchase.
Amazfit Verge 2 comes with a few upgrades over the original such as eSIM support and health alerts. The watch also features a more premium design with a slightly larger 1.39-inch, more high-res (454×454 pixel) 326PPI display.
Under the hood there’s quite a lot going on. This includes an accelerometer, heart rate, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, ambient light sensor, atmospheric pressure sensor, NFC, GPS+GLONASS+BDS, mic, speaker, ECG (ECG edition), eSIM for 4G VoLTE
We reviewed the first generation version in 2018 and found it to be a solid GPS sports watch. Perhaps not as premium looking as Stratos, but a good option nevertheless.
The Avengers edition comes with all of the above so the difference is in looks. The write rubber strap is designed Avengers logos and there are special Avengers themed watch faces.
There’s no word yet on international availability of Amazfit Verge 2. The Avengers Limited Edition can also only be ordered in China for now. Costing approximately $200, it can be picked up from Amazfit’s official flagship store on Jingdong (JD.com).
