This gizmo uses an electroencephalogram (EEG) measurement device that sits on top of your head to measure brain activity. The accompanying smartphone app interprets the signal to visualize brainwaves and creates custom training exercises. This could be anything from focusing on a single point to push away unnecessary thoughts, to taking a mid-day break to let your mind wander freely, or focusing on breathing before going to sleep.
The therapy requires three 20-minute sessions per week. URGONight says users fall asleep 40% faster and night-time awakenings are reduced by 53% with its solution. The app provides visual neuro feedback showing your session progress over time. You do have to stick with it as sustainable results take around three months to achieve.
On display at CES 2020 in Las Vegas, the $500 gizmo should be available for purchase in the second quarter of this year. You can register on the URGONight website to join the waiting list. Pre-orders are expected to open soon.
