CES 2020: EyeQue Try-On Glasses will let you test out your vision test results

EyeQue has unveiled Try-On Glasses at CES 2020. These are low cost specs that allow users to test their EyeQue vision results before forking out for more expensive gear.

We tested EyeQue VisionCheck last summer and came out pleasantly surprised. The gizmo allows you to monitor changes in your sight from the comfort of your home and order glasses online. In some aspects the reports churned out by the device are even more detailed that those you get from your eye doctor. Most importantly, we found the results to be extremely accurate.

The company has now expanded its offering with the addition of EyeQue Try-On Glasses. This offers users of EyeQue products the ability to order low-cost eyeglasses based on their EyeGlass Numbers (EGNs) and pupillary distance (PD). In a sense, this is a way to test out the results before ordering expensive specs from other on-line retailers.

The Try-on Glasses have classic round metal frames, flexible hinges and shatter-resistant CR-39 lenses. You can see them pictured above.

“Our mission is to make vision screening and correction easy and accessible to everyone,” said John Serri, PhD., co-founder and president of EyeQue.

“Our at-home refraction tests empower consumers to use the results to order new glasses without having to leave home. This new offering of Try-On Glasses gives our customers a fast, affordable way to know exactly how well new glasses purchased using their EyeGlass Numbers will perform for them.”

The EyeQue Try-On Glasses (estimated MSRP $15) will become available in February in limited quantity on the EyeQue website. A full roll-out is expected in April. Delivery should take no more than a week.

Those interested in other EyeQue products can take advantage of the time-limited 10% offer on all smartphone vision solutions. Simply use the code CES2020 when making a purchase at eyeque.com.
