With each passing year, Garmin is expanding the range of badges that can be collected via its smartphone app. There’s obviously a market for this kind of thing.

If you’re unsure how to view badges in Garmin Connect, simply click on your avatar at the top of the home screen. From there you’ll be able to see all of the badges you have earned, including upcoming ones and a leaders table.

Three new badges have sprung up in the last few days. The first one is called Be My Valentine. That one is quite easy to earn. All you need to do is record an activity on February 14th, Valentines Day and sync your watch or fitness tracker to Garmin Connect.

The next badge is called Share the Love and that one is even simpler to obtain. Once you have successfully completed the first challenge, all you need to do is share your Be My Valentine Badge on the day you earned it. This can be done by going into the Earned Badges screen, tapping on the badge in question, and choosing the up arrow in the top right-hand corner. This will provide you with a number of ways to share your success.

The final badge is adequately named Take the Leap. If you weren’t aware, 2020 is a leap year. This means February has 29 days. The task to get this badge is the same as for the first one. All you’ll need to do is record an activity on the all-important-day, February 29th. You might want to put in a bit of extra effort to get this one as you won’t have an opportunity to earn it for another four years. The next leap year is February 29th, 2024.
