The Fitbit end-year review shows you your most active days in 2022 and highlights some stats. You should be receiving it in an email if you have not already.
Fitbit “Your year in review” – what is it?
Fitbit has been sending “Your year in review” since 2017. The only criteria is that you have been active for more than 15 days during the past 12 months and have accumulated at least 10,000 steps.
The email consists of an infographic and some general user stats. This includes your most active day during the year along with the step count on that day.
Aside from that, you get a 12-month total step count and the best step month in 2022. Other data points include total Active Zone Minutes, average daily Active Zone Minutes, best Active Zone Minutes day, total exercise days, top exercise, and a slew of sleep statistics. So the review is more comprehensive this year as compared to previous years.
Those who have received the email have the option of sharing it on social media. If your preferred platform is not listed, you can always take a screenshot and share it on all social media platforms for bragging rights.
There is also a link in the email to general community stats. These are taken from Fitbit’s database that consists of millions of users activity data. That data, of course, has been anonymised.
What to do if you have not received the email
Fitbit’s end-of-year review is a helpful tool for understanding your activity levels and progress over the course of the year. It might come in handy for setting goals in 2023.
If you have not received the email despite being active during the year, take some comfort in the knowledge that you are not alone. There are reports on Reddit of users asking why they did not get the review.
Be patient, is our advice. It usually takes some time for the email to reach everyone. It has only recently begun to be distributed, so keep an eye out for it in your inbox. Also, make sure you have not unsubscribed from these types of emails.

Having said that, there was a problem in the past that affected some users. They were unlucky, as they did not receive the email. Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do, and there’s no way to view the stats in the app. These emails are not sent more than once by Fitbit.
