Bugatti is back with the refined Ceramique Titane Edition smartwatch
The Bugatti Ceramique Titane Edition is a new contender in the world of luxury smartwatches. Sold-out batches in July and August demonstrate the high demand for this high-end device.
The company is a French automobile manufacturer. It is well-known for producing high-quality, performance-oriented vehicles. Ettore Bugatti founded the outfit back in 1909. From sleek sports cars to luxurious grand tourers, their vehicles are highly coveted by discerning drivers around the world.
A couple of years ago we wrote about the first Bugatti-branded smartwatch. The Bugatti Ceramique Edition One was created in collaboration with Austrian smartwatch maker VIITA and funded on Kickstarter. It is available in three models named after the company’s sports cars and has a scratch-resistant Zirconium ceramic body and bezel, as well as a 390 x 390 AMOLED touch panel.
But it’s not all about style as the impressive specs continue under the hood. This includes the typical array of fitness sensors, as well as the built-in connectivity to satellites and more. The device has a battery life of two weeks and can measure things like steps, calories, regeneration status, stress, dehydration, HRV, sleep, and activity for a total of 72 different sports.
The project raised some €771,856 towards production. Last year the 800 or so backers received their device. Reviews on the smartwatch on Kickstarter were pretty mixed.
Now Bugatti is back with its latest creation.
Bugatti Ceramique Titane Edition smartwatch
At the core of the Bugatti Ceramique Titane Edition smartwatch is a 6-axis combined accelerometer, gyroscope, dual photoplethysmography sensors, vibration motor, and GPS/Galileo/Glonass support. This ensures that the device tracks physical activities, heart rate, and location accurately. Bluetooth 5.2 is also included for seamless connectivity.
As you’d expect, the build of the watch is the highlight here. The display has an AMOLED panel with a 390×390 resolution that is protected by a sapphire crystal for added durability. The watch is 46mm in diameter and 14.7mm in height, and weighs 102g with a nylon/silicone or silicone strap. The bezel is made of zirconium ceramic, while the housing and back cover are made of titanium grades 5 and 2.
One of the standout features of the Bugatti Ceramique Titane Edition is its impressive battery life. The 585mAh lithium-ion battery offers varying durations based on usage:
- Display Always on: 2-3 days
- Display on by hand move: 5-10 days
- Display on by button click: 7-15 days
The smartwatch is also water-resistant up to 100 meters (10 ATM). This makes it suitable for swimming and other water-based activities.
The Bugatti Ceramique Titane Edition smartwatch comes in four different styles: Super Sport, Divo, La Noire, and Pur Sport. They start at a hefty $1290! Check them out on the company’s website.
