Amazfit Bip 5: Today’s launch brings a smartwatch with a 1.91″ display
The smartwatch industry is evolving, with new models being introduced by various firms. The latest addition comes from Zepp Health in the form of the Amazfit Bip 5. This budget-friendly device offers features such as an extra-large 1.91-inch display, comprehensive health and fitness tracking, along with a library of downloadable apps and games.
A larger and more impressive display
The display is the big story here. The Amazfit Bip 5 packs a 1.91-inch high-resolution LCD screen. This is the largest display available on any Amazfit device. Despite this, the device weighs only 26 grams.
The feature should improve the user experience greatly. The larger display boosts visibility, makes navigating easier, and creates a more immersive user interface. The huge display guarantees that you don’t miss anything, whether you’re checking your fitness metrics, reading a message, or navigating through your apps. It’s an improvement over earlier versions, providing users with a more engaging and dynamic experience.
The glass of the watch adds to its visual charm. It has a small curvature in the design, giving for a more natural appearance when worn. Plus you can customise the screen with one of 70 watch faces, some of which are editable and allow you to upload your own photos.
Apps and games galore
Zepp OS 2.0 powers the Amazfit Bip 5. This comes with a large collection of apps and games. Users have a multitude of tools at their disposal with over 70 downloaded app selections and 30 mini games. The Bip 5 has something for everyone, from fitness monitoring apps that help you manage your health and wellbeing to engaging games that keep you engaged during downtime.
All of this is accompanied by intelligent features. This includes the Amazon Alexa online voice assistant as well as Bluetooth call compatibility. To support this, the device includes a microphone and speaker.
Health and fitness features
Thanks to the sophisticated BioTracker PPG sensor, the Amazfit Bip 5 incorporates decent health and fitness capabilities.
The heart rate monitor and blood oxygen sensor can monitor your vitals throughout the day, providing data that may be used to assess your general health and fitness levels. The sleep tracker analyses your sleep habits and provides insights that can help you improve the quality of your sleep. There’s a stress tracking function, PAI and menstrual cycle tracking. Plus you get smart alerts for abnormally high or low heart rates, abnormally low SpO2 levels and high stress levels.

In addition, there is built-in GPS. This is used to track your location when participating in some of the 120 outdoor workouts, providing information on your pace, distance, and route. When compared to the previous generation, the number of workout modes has been doubled. Seven of them have auto-recognition. Plus you get access to advanced features such as sports data broadcast, Virtual Pacer, Workout Status, Training Effect, Training Load, Vo2 Max and more.
