Honor launches Watch GS 4 with upgraded design & specs

Honor has made Watch GS 4 official in its home market of China. The watch comes with an upgraded design and ability to measure blood pressure and atrial fibrillation.

Honor Watch GS 4: a refined version of GS 3

The Watch GS 3 was introduced back in 2022. Two years is a long time in the wearable tech space so its successor was expected.

The new version boasts a case crafted from durable 316L low-carbon stainless steel, offering both durability and a sophisticated aesthetic. For an added touch of luxury, a real gold plating option is available on the pricier Jasper Astrolabe. The watch maintains a comfortable fit with its ultra-thin 10.5mm profile, curved edges and two physical buttons. Users can choose between sporty silicone straps or classic, refined leather options.

Display and Sensors

Like its predecessor, the Watch GS 4 features a vibrant 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels and 326 PPI. Plenty of choice to make the watch your own. You can personalize it with over 8,000 customizable watch faces.

The smartwatch includes a comprehensive sensor suite (accelerometer, gyro, geomagnetic, heart rate, ambient light, air pressure, and capacitive) which likely offers upgraded capabilities compared to the GS 3. It can also measure your blood pressure levels and detect atrial fibrillation. This is something that is not offered on its predecessor.

With 4GB ROM and 32MB RAM, users can conveniently store music and data directly on the device. The magnetic thimble charging port offers impressive fast-charging – a full day’s power in just 5 minutes or up to 30 hours with GPS enabled.
