The new Wyze Scale Ultra makes health metrics more visible

Wyze has launched its latest smart scale, the Scale Ultra, featuring a sizeable 4.3-inch color TFT display that puts vital health metrics front and center. The new device builds upon previous Wyze scale offerings whilst keeping things affordable.

The most notable addition, this time around is the bright, large display that shows health metrics as well as trending data directly on the scale itself. This reduces the need to check your phone for updates.

Users can track 13 different body composition measurements, including standard metrics like weight and body fat percentage, as well as more detailed data points such as visceral fat, metabolic age, and protein levels.

Where many smart scales rely solely on Bluetooth connectivity, the Scale Ultra supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. So this is a nice plus. This dual-connectivity approach means your data will transfer even without a phone nearby. It takes the hassle out of syncing.

The scale throws in some specialized settings. For example, a pregnancy mode disables bioelectric impedance analysis for safety. Also, there are separate modes for babies, pets, and luggage expand its utility beyond personal health tracking. The device can automatically recognize up to eight different users and includes a guest mode for occasional visitors.

Integration with major health platforms is there. The scale plays nice with Apple Health, Google Fit, and Fitbit, making it a practical choice for users already using these platforms.

Built with ITO-coated glass and anti-slip feet, the Scale Ultra comes in both black and white options. It operates on four AAA batteries with an expected battery life of nine months and can handle weights from 11 to 400 pounds.

The company is known for churning out products that won’t break the bank. The Wyze Scale Ultra is along these lines with a price point of $43.99 through the company’s website. It doesn’t bring any ground-breaking features, but it does seem to offer a lot for the money.
