Garmin Beta 13.12 update for Fenix 8 and Enduro 3 starts Q1 2025 rollout

Garmin has unveiled its Beta 13.12 update, now available for Fenix 8 AMOLED, Fenix 8 Solar, and Enduro 3 watches. This update kicks off the Q1 2025 firmware cycle with a mix of new features and fixes. The Beta can be installed manually by Beta programme users, but with a catch—key functions like ECG and Dive features will be disabled during this early phase.

Fresh tools for activities and workouts

For starters the update adds a few new options for users who want more from their watches. The Sail Race app caters to sailors, while the Jumpmaster and Trolling Motor apps broaden the appeal for outdoor lovers. There’s now a stress card in gaming activity summaries and a respiration graph in meditation summaries. Garmin has also included a feature to show required equipment for strength workouts.

These updates are joined by new support for nautical units and improved handling of connected sensors. The addition of touch controls for dismissing notifications rounds out a focus on making interactions smoother.

Fixes to keep things running smoothly

Garmin hasn’t just added features but has also worked on refining existing ones. Fixes range from resolving potential crashes during meditation setup to correcting display issues like blank calendar cards and stale HRV data in the Morning Report. Navigation tools have been polished too, with improvements to maps, GPS, and round trip routing.

Bug fixes also target usability: the sleep history graph now works properly after travel, and auto-climb data screen selection has been corrected. Even the weather app now behaves, staying put instead of accidentally returning to the watch face.

Connect iq system 8 integration

Beta 13.12 introduces Connect IQ System 8, making the latest apps, watch faces, and data fields accessible. We are yet to learn what new features will be available in the new version of Connect IQ. Notification icons and glance folder info text have also been refined, giving the interface a cleaner, smarter look.
