New features for Amazfit T-Rex 3 with firmware 3.4.4.7

Zepp Health has started rolling out firmware version 3.4.4.7 for the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch, and it’s packed with useful stuff. From new workout modes to smarter navigation and notifications, the T-Rex 3 is stepping up its game.

Fresh workouts and smarter tracking

The update introduces two brand-new workout modes. First up, there’s HYROX PFT, which comes with official test templates to help you assess your fitness for HYROX races. Then there’s snow plowing, a unique addition for tracking physical effort during this winter activity.

Activity tracking also gets an upgrade. The watch will now nudge you to resume your workout if it detects movement while you’re paused. This feature currently works with outdoor running, walking, and cycling. Plus, maps on the watch now show points of interest like stores, restrooms, and stadiums, making navigation more intuitive during outdoor activities.

Better usability and day-to-day improvements

Amazfit has made the T-Rex 3 easier to use with updates to its interface. Notifications are now more organized, with options for previews and status reminders. The heart rate app is smarter too, with active heart rate monitoring that’s on by default, improving accuracy when you start exercising.

The control center gets a handy shortcut for toggling the Always-On Display, and workout records now include weather updates for outdoor activities. On top of that, algorithms for skiing and readiness insights have been fine-tuned, making your data more accurate and helpful.

How to install the update

Installing the update is simple. Open the Zepp app on your phone, make sure your T-Rex 3 is connected, and head to the “Profile” section. Tap on your device and check for updates. If version 3.4.4.7 is available, follow the instructions to download and install it. Just keep the watch close to your phone and ensure both have enough battery to avoid interruptions. As always, this is a gradual rollout so may take a week or so before reaching everyone.
