OPPO Watch X2 drops February 20 and could help track blood pressure

The OPPO Watch X2 is set to launch on February 20th in China, and it is already has people talking about its ability to detect potential high blood pressure risks. Now, the first official images of the smartwatch have been revealed.

There was a Weibo post from Zhou Yibao, Product Manager at OPPO a few weeks back. That revealed the device in a black confidentiality casing, teasing its rather bulky looking circular design. You can see it above.

But now OPPO has released an official teaser. This shows the upcoming watch in all its glory.

What about the specs?

One of the most interesting features of the Watch X2 is its apparent ability to alert users to potential high blood pressure issues. It sounds a bit like the rumoured Apple Watch feature. There is talk Apple’s next timepiece will have a similar ability – so not precise measurements, but an indication of abnormalities.

That’s not all, though. The Watch X2, reportedly, also comes with ECG monitoring, wrist temperature tracking, and a 60-second health check feature. These additions mean it’s pretty feature packed as far as health specs.

OPPO hasn’t skimped on design. The Watch X2 has a circular dial made from premium materials like titanium and sapphire. The two buttons on the side hint at easy navigation and versatility.

For other tech specs, it’s got a 46mm OLED screen, which should be plenty sharp for notifications, fitness stats, and more. It also supports eSIM, GPS, and NFC, so you can leave your phone behind for some tasks. The upgraded battery—clocking in at 631/648mAh—promises decent longevity and fast charging, too.

The rather masculine looking timepiece is clearly built for active users. It comes with solid waterproofing and comprehensive sports tracking. So something that should be a good fit for those hitting the gym, heading out for a hike, or just trying to close their daily activity ring.

This launch isn’t happening in isolation. It’s part of a two-product release from OPPO, which also includes the Find N5, a foldable flagship being touted as the thinnest of its kind.
