Amazfit T-Rex 3 family gets another big firmware update

Zepp Health has another fairly chunky update for the Amazfit T-Rex 3, T-Rex 3 Pro and T-Rex Ultra 2. Firmware 6.3.25.7 adds deeper HYROX analysis, FTMS indoor cycling support, easier music management and a few navigation tweaks.

The download itself is only 16.5MB, but there is quite a bit hiding inside it. Zepp Health has been updating these three watches together for a while now, and this release continues that pattern with another batch of training and accessory features.

HYROX gets much more detailed

The biggest addition is new HYROX analysis when one of the watches is used alongside the Helio Strap Pro. Once the Pro is connected, you can start a HYROX race or simulation from the watch. The setup then records movement counts, movement frequency and heart-rate trends. After the session, you can dig into pace changes and training suggestions for individual stations.

Pairing should also be easier. The T-Rex 3, T-Rex 3 Pro and Ultra 2 can now automatically pair with a Helio Strap Pro that is already linked to the same Zepp Health account.

Indoor cycling gets FTMS support

There is a useful addition for indoor cyclists too. The Indoor Cycling mode can now connect to bike trainers and spin bikes that support the FTMS standard.

Once paired, the watch can show power, cadence, speed and distance directly from the trainer. The distance calibration screen also now lets you choose between metric and imperial units.

Music and training controls get tidied up

Music management has also been improved. Music and playlists on the watch can now be managed through the Zepp Health app, which should be considerably less fiddly than handling everything directly from the wrist.

There is also a new Athlete Defaults option. Turn it on and the watch automatically applies a more training-focused set of settings, including Workout Do Not Disturb and disabling sports alerts. The idea is basically to cut distractions and keep the watch focused on recording the session.

Training Library now supports navigation as well, although only for workout types that already support both features. That means structured training and route guidance can run together rather than forcing you to choose between the two.

Navigation gets another round of tweaks

Navigation has not been ignored either. Zepp Health has improved the readability of the route elevation chart, while the Advance Up map view now rotates automatically to match your current heading when you zoom.

Firmware 6.3.25.7 continues a fairly obvious trend with the T-Rex 3 family. Zepp Health is putting more effort into sensor integration, structured training and external equipment support, particularly around HYROX and indoor workouts.

Firmware 6.3.25.7 is rolling out to the Amazfit T-Rex 3, T-Rex 3 Pro and T-Rex Ultra 2. As usual, it may take a little while before it appears for every owner.
