RingConn rolls out monthly apnea reports & rare Gen 2 Air discount

RingConn is rolling out two notable changes this month for its smart ring users. Monthly sleep apnea reports are being introduced, and Google Fit syncing is scheduled to end by October 1, with Health Connect set to replace it.

Monthly sleep apnea reports land in the app

If you own a RingConn smart ring, you’ll now receive a monthly summary of your sleep apnea patterns. That’s part of version 3.10.0 of the smartphone app.

The feature surfaces data in a way that’s easy to digest, including a breakdown of mild, moderate and severe events across the past month. It also flags your most common patterns and throws in some AI analysis.

This sits within the growing category of “smart insights” RingConn is experimenting with. The idea is to help users connect changes in behaviour, like sleep timing or daily movement, with how often their breathing is disrupted during sleep. That context makes the data easier to act on, which has been a weak point in many wearable platforms.

There’s also a personalised element. Each report includes a short recommendation, based on your data, for improving sleep or reducing potential apnea risk. These suggestions are framed as next steps rather than medical directives, but they do offer prompts that might be helpful in combination with professional advice. The feature is being positioned as part of RingConn’s broader health monitoring suite.

Google Fit support is ending soon

The other announcement is more technical but equally important. RingConn will stop supporting Google Fit syncing from October 1, 2025. This change is due to Google shutting down its Fit Developer API.

In its place, RingConn is encouraging users to switch over to Health Connect. This is now Google’s preferred platform for managing health and fitness data across apps, and the company is working with third parties to ensure compatibility. RingConn says the migration process will be seamless, though users will need to ensure their apps are updated and permissions are granted correctly for the sync to continue.

This migration also opens the door for deeper integration with other platforms in the future. RingConn hinted that more third-party connections could be added once the shift to Health Connect is complete. That’s something to keep an eye on.

Back to school promo now live

In other news, RingConn is running a rare promotion on its Gen 2 Air model. Between August 13 and 28, you can get 10% off by using the code RCAIRBACK8 on RingConn’s website. If you’ve been considering picking up the Gen 2 Air, now’s a good time to act. If you’d rather pick up the full Gen 2 device, code RC09 will give you a 10% discount until September 30th.
