Amazfit Active 2 & Bip 6 get running form metrics
A bunch of Amazfit watches have recently received running form insights and now Active 2 and Bip 6 are joining in the fun turn. The latest firmware packages also bring new ways to interact with the watch and screenshot support.
Running form tracking arrives
The most notable addition with the new firmware (version 6.3.10.4 for Active 2, 3.3.12.4 for Bip 6), is support for running form metrics such as vertical oscillation and ground contact time. These types of stats are typically reserved for higher-end multisport timepieces, so their arrival on other watches is welcome. Runners now have another layer of data to work with when trying to improve efficiency and reduce impact.

New ways to interact with the watch
The updates also improve how you interact with the device. You can now press two buttons at once to capture a screenshot. This should make it easier to document workouts or share specific stats without reaching for your phone.

Wrist-raise unlock and button response during activity have also been optimised. That should help reduce missed inputs or lag, especially when navigating data screens on the move.
Jump rope reminders and external HR tweaks
A few other changes are bundled in as well. The updates introduce new jump rope and general workout reminders, although details on how these work or whether they are adaptive are not included.
New icons have been added for Bluetooth heart rate sensors, presumably to make it easier to confirm that an external strap is connected during a session. This is useful for those who prefer more accurate HR tracking or are using a strap with strength training.
The update is now live and should be available through the Zepp Health app. Unfortunately still no BioCharge feature on Active 2 or Bip 6 – if that’s what you have been waiting for, the wait continues.
