Zepp Health might release one more Amazfit watch in 2025

A new Amazfit smartwatch has just received approval from the Malaysian SIRIM database under model number A2557. This follows the October listing of model A2549, which now appears to have been the 44mm version of the T-Rex 3 Pro. But this new device looks like something entirely different.

One more launch still to come?

The A2557 registration landed on November 25th and categorises the device as a smartwatch. While SIRIM listings don’t reveal specs, the model number structure offers a clue. Zepp Health devices tend to climb steadily in their A25xx internal code as generations evolve. That’s why this new filing stands out.

Model A2549 was added to the same regulatory database back in early October. At the time, it was unclear what product it referred to. But with the late October arrival of the T-Rex 3 Pro 44mm, the most likely scenario is that A2549 was the smaller variant of that device. Some regional listings appear to confirm that connection, though Zepp Health has not publicly linked the number to a specific SKU.

That makes A2557 more intriguing. It is not tied to any announced variant or existing product family at the time of writing. The higher model number, combined with the fact that all other major Amazfit product lines have already been refreshed this year, suggests this may be a final 2025 release.

Signs point to a new performance model

Zepp Health’s major product tiers include Essential, Lifestyle, Adventure and Performance. The first three have already been updated in recent months with the Bip 6, Active 2 and T-Rex 3 Pro launches. That leaves the Performance line, which includes the Falcon and Cheetah families. Both of those have been quiet this year.

It is possible that A2557 belongs to an updated performance device that slots into that higher-end segment. Zepp Health said during its Q1 2025 earnings call that all core product lines would be refreshed by year-end, and so far that has held true. A2557 might be the final missing piece.

The company has also ramped up athlete partnerships and event sponsorships this year. That marketing shift suggests a stronger focus on pro-grade features, which would make sense for a new performance-tier watch.

A launch soon

If this device is nearing launch, we might soon see it appear in other regulatory databases. For example, FCC filings usually include more detail, such as connectivity specs, size and sometimes photos. That would help to lift the mystery from the A2557 moniker.

For now, this SIRIM listing confirms that Zepp Health has at least one more unreleased watch in the pipeline. The clock is ticking for a December reveal, but a January launch is not out of the question. Either way, A2557 is one to watch.
