Huawei announces global availability of Honor Band 3 fitness tracker

Following the official launch in China earlier this month, today Huawei announced global availability and pricing of the Honor Band 3 fitness tracker.

The device sports some fairly decent specs, particularly when you factor in the $60 price tag. Thanks to a 3-axis accelerometer, heart rate monitor and infrared sensor, Honor Band 3 will keep tabs on your steps, calories, distance, heart rate, sleep quality and running.

Weighing just 18 grams, the lighweight tracker sports a 0.91 inch PMOLED 128×32 pixel display. The 16mm wide band is made of thermoplastic polyurethane and comes in a range of colors including Dynamic Orange, Classic Navy Blue, and Carbon Black.

Nothing so far to get overly excited about. Apart from the price, perhaps the biggest selling point of the band is its battery life. The wearable will last for up to a month with its 100 mAh battery and it will take you just 90 minutes to charge it.

Finally, you need not worry about taking the band off when you go for a dip. The 5 ATM water resistance means it will be fine down to depths of 50 metres.
