Kate Spade combines style and function with its first full-touch smartwatch
Announced at CES 2018, Kate Spade New York’s first feminine smartwatch combines style with function.
Powered by Android Wear 2.0, the Scallop touchscreen timepiece comes in three distinct designs. One has a gold case and black leather band. The other two rose gold cases with a pink leather or polished stainless-steel five-link bracelet. They all come with a scalloped edge around the watch face and the logo engraved on the watch’s crown.

The watch offers adorable novelty and classic 41mm display dials to fit your look. In addition to telling time, the Scallop dishes out notifications and social media updates and features some pretty nifty animations. Users can customize the face of their watch and can even see the weather on the 1.2-inch AMOLED display.
“The Kate Spade New York girl is connected at all times. And now, with our ‘choose your look’ watch app, she has access to the most feminine, fashion-forward, and customizable smartwatch functionality to-date,” said Mary Beech, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Kate Spade New York.
“Whether she’s wearing pink, stripes or dots, our scallop touchscreen smartwatch will match her outfit, tying her look together with a unique Kate Spade New York twist.”
In terms of other specs, you get some fitness tracking basics but no heart rate tracking. The watch has a built-in microphone so you can use Google Assistant and can play music from your smartphone, too. Battery life is around 24 hours.
The Scallop ranges in price from $295 to $325 depending on design, on Kate Spade‘s website. You can also pick it up on Amazon (check price).
