Swedish-based Spotify is the world’s largest music streaming service. There is a freemium option with basic features and advertisements, and a paid subscription service.

When connected to Wi-Fi, Vivoactive 3 Music users can now create and sync Spotify playlists, albums and podcasts and access them through the corresponding app on their smartwatch. If they have a Premium account, they can store all this for offline listening. Previously, owners of the Vivoactive 3 Music were limited to streaming Deezer and iHeartRadio.

The Spotify app can be downloaded from the Connect IQ store. With this update, all Garmin devices that support offline storage for music have gained access to the service. The company didn’t say why it took it so long to roll out Spotify to Vivoactive 3 Music.
