Withings Sapphire Signature is built from finest materials for a designer look
Withings has introduced a new iteration of its Steel HR hybrid. The Sapphire Signature collection is built from premium materials for a premium, designer look.

As the name implies, the new watches are protected with highly scratch-resistant sapphire glass. This is a type of material you typically see only on luxury timepieces. But that’s not all. The collection features a durable stainless steel case, premium coating, chrome indices and Italian leather straps.
Other features are the same as the standard Steel HR. This means you get the usual fitness and sleep tracking smarts including a heart rate monitor, but no built-in GPS. Only Connected GPS. The watch also spits out call, text and event notifications.
Steel HR Sapphire Signature is water resistant down to 50 meters and will automatically detect and track swim sessions as well as 9 other activities. Battery life is an excellent 25 days in normal mode, plus 20 more with time and activity tracking only.
In our review we found the regular iteration to be one of the best hybrids on the market. Strap it to your wrist and with minimal interaction it will quietly go about its business. The timepiece succeeds in keeping things simple. Clearly it’s not the most powerful fitness tracker out there, but it strikes a balance of features, aesthetics and comfort that will appeal to many.
Withings has also recently launched a sporty version of the same watch. This one slaps Connected GPS, a Fitness Level assessment via VO2 Max estimation and better, breathable straps to the original.
The new Sapphire collection is available on Withings.com for $299.95. It comes in a choice between a 36mm Blue & Silver, White & Rose Gold or Black & Slate Gray case. All of these come with leather straps to match.
