Amazfit Sports Watch 3 Star Wars edition goes on sale in China
Huami announced Amazfit Sports Watch 3 Star Wars edition a few days ago and today it goes on sale in China. The timepiece is equal in everything but design with the regular edition.

This is not the first time we’ve seen a Star Wars themed sports watch. Garmin has already felt the force with smartwatches in its Legacy Saga Series. These borrow the design and functionality from the Vivoactive 4. The Garmin merchandise was released as part of Triple Force Friday in September – an event that marked releases: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, The Mandalorian, and the game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Huami has released a plethora of Amazfit-branded devices this year so you might be confused as to where exactly Sports Watch 3 fits in. This is the updated version of Stratos. It is dubbed under the Sports Watch moniker in China.
The device goes on sale today in China. This has been timed to coincide with the release of the Star Wars Skywalker movie. As you’d expect, there’s a custom watch face, red and white bezel and the watch comes in a box with some other goodies. The strap is etched with one of Master Yoda’s quotes “Train You Must” inscribed on one side. The short end of the strap says “Vader Is My Motivator”.
As for other specifications, these remain the same as the Stratos 3. The watch comes with a full circle reflective 1.34-inch (320 × 320 pixel resolution) display and AF+AR coated sapphire glass. This brings a high screen ratio so should optimize the Star Wars watch-face visual effects. There’s also a titanium bezel and quick-release fluoro-rubber strap.
Under the hood, the thing has a dual-core dual system. This features two sets of chips, one to support a professional sports mode the other for normal smartwatch mode. The first is the more feature-packed and runs the full Amazfit OS. The second comes with longer battery life. The watch also features the company’s BioTracker PPG biological tracking optical sensor for heart rate monitoring which is said to be very accurate.
The Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 3 Star Wars edition can be picked up for $229 or 1599 yuan. This is 100 yuan cheaper than the regular version.
