Redmi Watch 3 Active now available in Europe
Xiaomi Redmi Watch 3 Active has made its debut in the European market. Announced a few weeks ago, this new smartwatch is a global version of the Redmi Watch 3 Youth Edition that only sells in China.
This comes a few months after the Mi Band 8 was introduced. Its most notable change is the introduction of a two-piece detachable band, allowing for greater customisation and wearability options. However, while Mi Band 8 has not launched for the global market just yet, it appears the wait for international availability of this new smartwatch will not be long.
Redmi Watch 3 Active – a wearable that won’t break the bank
As far as specs, the Redmi Watch 3 Active sports a 1.83-inch LCD display with a resolution of 240 x 280 pixels. The large panel peaks at 450 nits, providing a clear and vibrant display for users. The timepiece is pre-loaded with over 200 watch faces for you to play around with.
There are comprehensive health monitoring features thanks to an accelerometer, heart rate and SpO2 sensors. However, the watch does not include GPS or NFC modules. The Redmi Watch 3 Active offers more than 100 sport modes, including 10 professional sports modes. The built-in sensors and professional sports algorithms can monitor and analyze your body when you do your favorite sports, showing your efforts at a glance.

The smartwatch is 5 ATM water-resistant and supports Bluetooth voice calls via a paired smartphone, thanks to a built-in microphone and speaker. Everything is powered by a 289 mAh battery that promises somewhere between 8 and 12 days of usage, depending on the intensity of use.
There are two styles and several watch band colours to pick from, allowing users to customise the device to their liking. The watch case features an NCVM-processed body, with a metallic finish that enhances its exquisite appearance.

Looking through the specs, there is nothing particularly impressive about this smartwatch. We’ve seen all this many times before. But what stands out is the price.
Despite a relatively decent set of features, the Redmi Watch 3 Active can be picked up at an affordable €39.99 in Germany and Spain. No doubt, availability in other European countries will follow in the weeks ahead. At that price point, the watch is a highly competitive option in the budget wearable market, offering a range of features typically found in more expensive devices.
